How do you know when the sales are active? I was thinking to try to do my shopping Saturday evening but how will I know if the next week sales are active??

Good question, I tried on sat. night once and was unsuccessful. I was there around 11, the cashier told me the sales didnt ring til 12:01.

Scan the item at the machine and if the sale has already started, it shows up there.

if an item is on sale this week and gives an ecb next week then you will not get the ecb on saturday. a sale has to finish before the next one starts so if the item is not on sale this week it will give the ecb on saturday. hth

I know when they start because I asked. My stores start at 4pm. But I still will ask if the sunday ad sales have started before I shop. That is a sure way to know. I know if it is advertised in the store, they have to honor it also. HTH

I asked one of the girls who has worked at CVS a pretty long time (practically a manager, in fact) and she said that the combo of the two weeks starts at 6 on Saturdays. Too inconvenient for me as we always go to a nice dinner then and have things to do. Also, too hard for me to do my shopping, because I rely on those shelf tags quite a bit. Many times, the deals are on specific sizes and have specifications that I forget to watch for.

At my store the sunday sales are usually good to go at 6pm on sat nite

Mine usually starts between 4 -6pm on Saturday AND I get the ECBS for the "next" week.

Like others, I scan the item to verify it's on sale. Keep in mind that for 2-day sales or for sales that are only for Sunday and Monday, for example, you need to purchase on the actual sale dates in order to receive the ECB.

I asked and was told at the store i shop that it should kick in at 5pm and i also get the ecb for the next week sale.

I asked at mine and the cashier told me sometimes its start earlier but for sure at 8pm. And I did get my ecbs for Sundays sale. My daughter bought something that had ecb both weeks and she got the lesser of the ecb but the cashier gave her the extra one. the cashier at mine is a young guy and he's great he goes out of way to help you.

I got shorted a $1 ECB the other night I didnt catch it til I already left! Our stores all kick the Ads in at a different time 24hrs or not

None of the 3 in my area are 24/7 but I was told not until Sunday at the closest (7 miles) from the house... But maybe I need to ask again or go on Sat after 6PM and scan an item....

No wonder the shelves are always cleared on Sunday, Crap!! Stupid me as I was gonna wake up at 7am in the morning to beat the shelf clearers!!!

I was at two different CVSs tonight. The first one, the new Sunday specials were out and posted and rang thru on my receipt. At the second one, the items weren't ringing through at the new sale price. The cashier called the manager who told me that he had forgotten to put in the new sale prices. We spoke about it for several minutes, and he told me that the prices have to be updated by him and take about 15 minutes for the change to go thru. This was at 7pm tonight (Saturday). He said he usually does it by 5pm, but forgot.

I went to CVS today and was told they activate Sunday sales at 4pm on Saturday but to check the price to be on the safe side. I ended up doing my shopping because I really wanted to get the Schick deal so I grabbed everything I wanted and went to check out, my $10 ECB did not print even though I spent $20 so after about 20 minutes of the employees and myself trying to figure out why it didn't print I learned a lesson on shopping Sunday sales on Saturday.....here is the deal....if you purchase an item that is on sale both weeks CVS will automatically give you the better sale so that is why it did not print...the 2 razors I bought were on sale this past week B1G1 50% off which was a better deal than $9.29/each. So if you do plan on shopping the day before make sure the item isnt on sale both weeks. I hope I explained this clearly and didnt confuse anyone

This is exactly why I am going tomorrow instead of today even though I was told no Sun sale on Sat. I just want to make sure I get my 10 ECBS!!!! LOL

Thanks everyone for your replies, I decided to wait until tomorrow to go... Hoping getting there around opening will allow me to get the Aussie/he deal as well as the schick deal... For the Aussie I really don't care about the gas card more getting a good price on stuff I can use getting the gas card would just be a bonus

My store used to start early too. Not sure what time they do now, but in larger markets--I'm in San Antonio, they are now stopping their weekly ads on Friday at midnight so they don't have overlap. I have started going again close to midnight but will ask tonight because I hate going that late. If I wait until after church on Sunday, the stuff is gone.

I always go Saturday night the deals for Sunday are always live. I check every item at the red machine to make sure. I don't know the official time it switches over but I typically go at 8.
