Stocking Is anyone planning on getting their favorite cashier a Christmas present?

Call me crazy, but is anyone else considering getting a Christmas present for their favorite CVS cashier? I have two favorites and I couldn't do as much saving as I do without them letting me stack a billion CVS coupons in each transaction.

If you have thought about getting them something, what ideas are you tossing around? I'm thrifty, but I would feel super cheap if I gave them something I got for free at CVS. Or would that be cheap afterall?

TIA for your responses!!!

You could always bake them something. A nice brownie & cookie plate.

In my experience all my favorite CVS cashiers are younger, and I doubt they do much baking for themselves, especially if they are male.

You could always roll some ECB into a GC to Chilli's or Applebees, everyone likes to go out to eat right?

I've not shopped at CVS yet...but you might want to ask first. When I wanted to give something to two of my fave cashiers, I was told they cannot accept customer gratuities, and if they were found doing so, they could be fired. I've been told this at a few different stores. One being SWM. Just wanted to give a heads-up.

I was told the same thing at a store. They were not to accept anything from customers. Not even a small tip for something like carrying groceries out etc.

I usually take in a cake or treats that I've made all through the year if they are working on a special day. Also I will take in a bag of groceries from my stockpile if I get a chance. One day my favorite cashier was looking at some product that I have a zillion of and I said "are you buying that?" and she said yes and I asked her what time she got off and brought a bag back for her. She loved that! Used to do that for a floor manager too but he is gone now....

You would be surprised to know that many of the cashiers don't get in on the deals.

km is right..i talked to the manager at cvs and she said they are not allowed to do the deals like we do..

my sister works at Belks (a department store like macys for those of you who dont know) anyways..she said this woman is always coming in and buying stuff for one cashier at cvs..she leaves it there and tells the cashier that she bought her something and to go and pick it up..she has bought her a really nice slow cooker and the new george forman grill..now that is gratitude!

I did give my cvs cashiers stuff and it wasn't from CVS (though I did just buy some antacid stuff and gave it to one of them).

I had found a great deal on something and left like 10 of them for one of the cashiers whose DH's had just lost his job due to layoffs.

So they can accept stuff, but maybe leave it behind wrapped with their name on it.
