I have a friend who wants to try doing CVS, but really can't spare any OOP to get started.

Anyone have any scenarios to start her with minimal OOP?

I was just logging on to ask a CVS ? ! I am still learning the whole CVS thing, I want to do the pepsi deal and the P & G deal. I have $1 tide manu coup, $1 pamper coup, $1 charmin coup, and I think I have a bounty coup also. I don't have any pepsi cooups ( I do have (5) .60 off any propel manu coups though). I don't have any ecb's yet.......... given this what is the best deal I can get, how many transactions do I do, and in what order? HELP!!!!!!!!

it's nearly impossible to start doing the cvs ecb thing without any oop the very first trip. My suggestion is to buy items that are free with ecb after your purchase~~check the december monthly deals because there are a few items that are free after your ecb (energy drink $4.99~receive $4.99 in ecb). Combine your purchase with any cvs coupons we currently have listed on here for some help.

Your friend needs to understand that if she spends just $20 in her first cvs trip it will result in thousands of dollars in savings if she continues rolling her ecb. My guess is that she could find the $20.

My thoughts would be start with the small deals and do multiple transactions to get started. As Angie said anythign that is free after ECB is a good way to gain ECB's. Also you should be able to plan ahead. The next couple weeks of deals are posted. So you can clip the coupons and know which ones to save.

Don't forget to have 1 item for each 1 coupon you give them. Example: 1 CVS coupon & 1 manufacturer's coupon on the same individual item - you will need an extra item since you will be using 2 papers to "pay" with.

They are saying now that ECB count as cash and not as "paper-coupons", however, some are not finding that to be true. So err on the side of caution & have 1 item for each 1 paper.

Also, if you are planning ahead, check thecouponclippers.com (link on AFC homepage) and see if there are any good coupons you can get. Small handling fee.

see i dont have that problem maybe i am lucky but i usually have a couple more coupons then i do items and it doesnt beep

Shery123 - actually the wow-coupons site takes you to coupons.com for which there is also a link on the AFC home page. When we click the AFC link to coupons.com, we support the operation of AFC.

The wow-coupons is a neat site, but since it does link to coupons.com, I think it would be nice if we approach it from the AFC link.

My either....last I read from a memo someone posted from corporate...you can have 2 coupons per item as long as one is cvs and one is a MC.
on my last trip i had 12 coupons 9 items.....and not one beep

your right..someone did post it a few weeks back..i tried it and it is right..i had 4 things but used 7 coupon..4 mfr and 3 cvs..

are you sure the site that shery posted just took you to coupons.com..when i went to the site there is a link to coupons.com from it but actually on the site are a TON of coupons that are not on coupons.com..
