On my CVS shopping spree Tuesday night the total before coupons was around $25.00 after coupons it was abour 2.50 and I received 8 ecbs. I had DH's card so I did the deal twice. While I was paying for the second purchase the manager comes over and starts looking at all of my coupons. I did everything by the rules but when he started looking at my coupons all I could think of was how bad I wanted to hurry up and get out of there before he decided I couldn't use my coupons. After all of the buzz going on about CVS and the coupons I got a little bit gun shy. The young cashier was really excited and wanted to know where I got the coupons from so I told her. As I was walking out the door I guess he decided everything was legitimate and he just put them in the little slot by the drawer. I was still very uncomfortable and almost ran out the door. Once I got in my truck it took me a little while to realize I wasn't doing anything wrong.

That said I was still looking over my shoulders for him to run out to my truck and stop me.

Reminds me of the time my DF and I went to CVS and the cashier had a hard time with the q's and the manager came to help. They were both nice.

As we were pulling out of the parking lot - the cashier started walking towards us. I wasn't sure if we were in trouble. She was just leaving work.

i get nervous with certain workers. cuz they give dirty looks etc. and i know they are like awwww her with the coupons .

I get dirty looks more than not at my CVS's, like the money is coming directly out of their paychecks or something and I don't even stack the $/$$ coupons like alot of you do either.

I have felt that way before, too. But, the last 2 times I shopped at CVS,I've had 2 different cashiers. BOTH times, the cashiers were in awe at my deals and were asking me how they could do it, too! It's amazing how these people actually work there, and don't realize they can get stuff for free! One of the cashiers didn't even realize how ECB's worked. She was definitely impressed after I explained it to her! By the way, I referred both of them to AFC!

My first experince with CVS was actually the nova max deal...I was on the phone with a friend totally expecting that it wouldn't work. When she checked me out and gave me the $20 ECB I walked (really really fast) to my car without saying a word..still on the phone mind you..jumped in, locked the doors and told my friend that it worked. I couldn't believe they had PAID me $20 to buy something! I drove away feeling as if I had robbed a bank all night! I was convinced someone would come knock on the door from the police station!

Obviously...I wouldn't make a good bank robber!

I HATE that feeling! I get so flustered and nervous waiting for my coupons to go through. And last night I got a HORRIBLE clerk. When the coupons didn't scan through, she just set them aside and said the system wouldn't accept them. I was furious! My hubby just laughed, I came home fuming that I spent $2 for my stuff when it SHOULD have only cost me 6 cents OOP. He just doesn't get it. I was all pumped up to come on here and tell of my grand adventures at CVS, and I failed!
There's always next time, right?

You should have told her to key them in! I would have been mad, too. I've told them to keep the stuff when they refuse to try and key in the coupons... it's not their money, it's MINE! And I don't wanna spend it unless *I* wanna spend it.

Ohhh that would have made me mad too! I had that happen today at walmart....she was rude...I got a manager....grrrr...

I feel like that all the time!!!!! Once i had hubbygo with me he was in AWE!! he told me you know you just robbed them right! I felt jittery enough- actually i guess Ill compare it to drugs.....I felt high enough....didnt need him to freak me out more.........He always says "which store did you rob tonight????" I thinking we need to seriously have a talk about our verbage in front of the girls because I would hate to get a call from the school or a teacher or anyone saying my daughter told them I rob stores for a living.

That is too funny!!! I find myself actually being overly friendly to the cashiers when they're ringing me up because I guess I think if I'm nice they'll take all my coupons and wont get ugly with me for getting stuff for practically free!
