My 1st CVS trip

I didn't get fabulous deals but they were exciting as a newbie trying to figure it all out .

We asked about coupons and she said we could do them as long as they weren't the same amount (like 2- $4/$20) but then she did them anyway?

My total before all coupons (I had a $5/$30/ 2-$4/$20's, $2/$10, Bic $2/$10, and a B1G1 for the Wisp flameless candles from coupons.com). Total before coupons (and tax)= $43.42, total after= $16.05 (w/tax). I have 10 items total so that made everything about $1.60/ea!

I was suppose to get ECB for the shampoo I bought (garnier fructis...$3.99 get $4 in ECB each) but I didn't get a printout and it's not on my receipt? It's not showing online either...

How do you figure out what you should buy? I wanted to do the makeup too but I couldn't figure out how to make it really worth it (plus DH who hates shopping was there but he was majorly impressed. He said "we saved more than we spent" LOL).

Great job! It's it fun to shop at CVS?

I think the Fructis ECB were for bigger bottles, the ones that are like $7.39. I checked it out to see if it was a good deal and ended up not buying any because I really don't need more shampoo!

the ecb's were for the larger ones $7.42 here but still with the $1 off coupon from sundays paper & 4 in ecb's they were a good buy. I would return the shampoo & write a letter to CVS mentioning that the ad didnt say only the large it said shampoo/conditioner they still have the ads available when you call the extra care number to talk with some one and mention that you bought GREEN one and the check out person didnt tell you that what you were buying didnt give you ecbs
