CVS Sun Silk Question

Ok CVS has Sunsilk buy 2 get 1 free. There is a coupon in the paper today Sunsilk buy 1 get 1 free. Can you get 3 products total and only pay for 1 (using ECB's of course not "real money")? Thanks for any help this board has made me LOVE CVS.

I bought 2 shampoo, 2 conditioners, 2 24/7 all $4.49 each

Used
$4 off $20
2 BOGO FREE ($3.99 max on each coupon)
2 $2 24/7 coupons
1 $1.50 coupon

My total came out to $1.36.

I probably could of used another $1.50 but didn't want to deal with it. The sunsilk monthly deal didn't work for me when you buy one each of the S and C, you get the 24/7 free.

I would of used a third BOGOF, but I forgot it at home. Then use 3 BOGOF and 3 of the other sunsilk coupons plus the $4/$20. I would add something since the total would be below 0.

monthly deal

kmchamplin, monthly deal worked for me at all of the 5 stores I shopped at today except Fridley for some reason?

I did buy the same products you did, so maybe some stores do not have it programmed.

I did use (3) of the B1G1F's as well.

I guess I will call on Monday then. I was at the Andover store and I didn't get an ecb for it. OR I guess I didn't look at the receipt too closely either.

Do you get an ecb or just $ off the receipt?

Well I lucked out - the CVS I went to had the "Sunsilk Beyond Brunette" also marked buy 2 get 1 free. The poor cashier I got also gave me the B1G1 on Sunsilk. So here was my deal for the day.

3 Sunsilk Beyond Brunette $ 5.99 each
3 Pantene products $ 4.00 each
Used 1 Pantene B1G1 free - Deduct $ 4.00
Used 1 Sunsilk B1G1 free - Deduct $ 5.99
Got 1 Sunsilk free (buy 2 get 1 free) - Deduct $ 5.99
Used 1 - $ 4.00 off $ 20.00 - Deduct $ 4.00
Used $ 5.00 ECB - Deduct $ 5.00
Paid little over $ 5.00 OOP.
I still have a $ 13.00 ECB couldn't find anything else to buy and now
have another $ 4.00 off $ 20.00 & $ 2.00 ECB from the Pantene.

I LOVE CVS & Ya'll that have helped educate me on CVS. Oh and the new Cashier - gotta love the newbies.

I messed up the Sunsilk deal.. was shopping with my sister today and she was in a hurry to get out..

I did the Playtex Sport deal.... Paid 1.99 for 36 tampons ($5 in ECB's back)
Did the Pantene Deal
Only got 2 Sunsilks (can I do this again with another coupon?? to make sure I get the most from the deal)
There was a coupon for Tampax Pearl in the paper, used that for $2 off so I paid a little over a $1 for that box

I got $7 back in ECB's today.. my first real "score" since Im just getting back into this again

You should be able to do the Sunsilk again - I didn't see a limit listed (not in the store or on my register tape). Have fun - it is almost like a adventure to see how much stuff you can get for the smallest amount out of pocket.

savesave has posted more than 50 good deals
Woohoo, I just came back from CVS.. I did pretty well today. At first, my total was 70++ which was way too much from my total, coz my counted total should be about 58++, so I thought probably it was because of the creme 24/7 thingy. So, she rerang it, and a sweet manager came up and fixed it, I was a bit scared to let her see I have so many coupons.. but she is so nice.. However, I did not get my Crest ECB.. I guess I got the wrong size or something.. weird, but I am not complaining since I was able to stack coupons.... and after reading this post, I notice that I forgot to use the BOGO Pantene, sigh.. Also, my store is out of the free Carefree. I did not get any good CRT coupons, just the photo finishing and $10/$50 for online shopping..

This is what I got:

6 Sunsilk ($4.29 each)
2 Sunsilk Creme
3 Pantene
2 Nivea lotion
2 Stayfree
6 Cereals (Honey Nut, Special K)
1 Qtip (not on sale, but had to get it to stay in positive value)

All these for less than $5 bucks.. and I got my $2 ecb from Pantene..

after looking at my receipts over and over again whew~~, I think I know why some can't get the deal to work. First, there is two deals here,

1. B2G1
2. Buy Sham & Cond Get Creme

so, basically, I think you have to buy 4 items or 8 items, or etc, meaning:

Shampoo
Shampoo
Conditioner
Creme

coz I did exactly that and that's why it worked for me... hope this helps..

both the $1.50 and $2.00 are from a few weeks ago expired 7/8/07 but most stores will let u do it if not there are numerous other $1 coupons and from what I understand $3 coupons at Target and Walgreens hanging around the displays but I'm too lazy to go look for them. So the total overage will vary depending on which one you use. The creme 24/7 coupons scan off the shampoo and contitioner as well. Family code is 2002 vs 2001 for shampoo/condtioner but in Oct I remember using those for the shampoo with no problem.

BTW where are you located? Just don't know if the offer from the $/$ is regional.

buy the gift card as the first item...should be no different than rolling ecb's....present $/$, then give them any ecbs you are using and then the coupons or just buy a bunch of other stuff because if this works there's gonna be a credit at the end

otherwise go to Waglreens and buy 4 - they are 3/10 for 13.34, use 2 bogo coupons, use 2 manf coupons (either 1.50 or 1), pay 3.66 or 4.66 and then submit the monthly mail in rebate for $5 and get them for free. sale ends today but rebate lasts until the end of the month.

pprogram, you mean the $10/$50, it's not regional, and some stores let you stack it.. so I am lucky. Oh, I am from Texas.. and lastly, thanks much for you tip on the gift card, maybe I should try.. had it work for you before?

ok so in theory it works but it did not give a credit for 2 of the 24/7's from the $/$ monthly deal- so there must be a limit of 1. i rang 2 sets up so there must not be a limit per card just per transaction.

to make it smooth i would just buy 1 set of 2 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 24/7. it will take off 2 items. makes the target of $50 tougher to get to but tomorrow's prices are already in so you can take advantage of the other deals to get to $50.

the manager had to manually credit 2 of the 24/7

the gift card buy with the combo was no problem
