Dance My CVS Day-The Good, The Bad and...

OH MAN!

Well, I've only been to CVS couponing twice before and once I barely (dodging) shopped - I was looking and learning from a hardcore couponing friend mostly.

Well, today I went on my own and THINK I'm learning the game.

I first purchased a Colgate toothpaste to see if it would print the ECB. No, it did not...AND it charged me 2.99 (not 2.77)...BUT it DID credit me the 3.00 ripped ECB from the other day. So I ask the manager, "is THIS CVS like this all the time..cause if so...." - He credited me 3.00 on the spot...nice guy-really.

Well, in total my bill WOULD have been about 41 bucks:

2 Full size Colgates (2.99 ea.)
1 2.77 advertised Colgate (2.99)
2 Colgate Toothbrushes (2.99 each)
2 Boxes Kellogg's Cereal (4.69/3.99)
3 Boxes of Tylenol (2 PM/1 Extra Strength) (4.99 ea.)
1 Dawn Dish soap (1.99)

After sales, coupons AND store credits: Out of Pocket = $6.16
I'd like to think this was pretty dang good. Do you agree? I mean I know some of you would have gotten it FREE plus ECB's out the ying yang...and I will too, just give me time grasshoppers, give me time. LOL

Totals today between CVS - Walgreens and Target:

Approx Total of Bills = $126.00
Out Of Pocket = $42.83

Oh, I did screw up a little: One more bottle of Tylenol and I would've had $5.00 ECB !!! AAARGH!

You did great for on your own. You will learn the ropes. I will try to post my mad shopping day after I "try" to hide it from dh. How do you "hide" 35 packs of diapers, over 100 wipes from him?

Trust me, I'm already devising the plan LOL - Hide "bulk" : in trunk, at work, in the yard, under rocks - and bring them in ONE at a time - it won't look so bad that way....LOL

Let me know when you figure this out. My DH doesn't want to me to buy diapers for a while. But while I have these coupons.......
