This is for transferred Rx ... not new. Is there a new one out there?

CVS is tightening up on the prescription discounts. I had 2 transfers Wednesday and they said I could only use 1. I had a new prescription Thursday and couldn't use it at all. They said since I had Tricare, I could not use it. All of a sudden I can't use them when I have had no problems in the past. I know that it says in fine print that it is not valid on Government programs which pay all except a small copay. Oh well, it was great while it lasted.

Has anyone else tried to use this for a new script?

I tried to use this for a new prescription at a CVS in upstate SC. Three or four people in the pharmacy said it should work but then when they tried to ring it up it gave them the message that the discount was not valid for this card. They appeared to have an older register system. They asked me where I got the printout and I said it had been emailed to me. The people in the pharmacy said they thought it didn't work because the prescription was not a transfer. I didn't press the issue because I didn't want to admit that it hadn't really been sent to me by CVS. Anybody else successful in using this with a new prescription or have problems with the system saying it "wasn't valid for this card?"

OMG, they are taking the "government program verbage wrong! Tricare is not a "government program"!!!! Government programs are medicaid and medicare, FAMIS....

I hate it when people twist the verbage around!

I always take these to Target and they accept them as if they were there own. I have never had any trouble at all. They will only take one at a time tho. I would much prefer a GC from Target than CVS.

I also looked around that site, but I obviously wasn't persistent enough! I printed a few off so now I can fill my Rx's! Fortunately they were they type that I could wait on. Can't wait to get those gift cards!

do the cvs computers link together? Or can you go to different ones and they not know, is it only one per household or per CVS card number?

how do you get target to match CVS gift card promo??

Deondra, just call and ask if they take any competitors coupons.. Most stores do but they only take up to certain amount, especially Target. I think last time, they said they will only match up to $20 or $25..

Thanks so much my target honored the coupon, then went to walmart with another RX and coupon and they also matched it!!! YEA!!
