Newbie with EC questions....

Hello everyone!

This is my first time posting to the CVS forum. I am glad that I found this group! I have been a regular shopper of CVS for many years but didnt know all the ins and outs of bargain shopping until I have read some of the posts here. Thanks to all of you I saved $30 in coupons yesterday AND am expected to recieve around $17 in ECB. I have a few questions if you do not mind me asking.

1. I signed up for a new EC card yesterday (lost the old one somewhere). I used it when making my purchases but it will not let me log onto the ECB site yet. Does it usually take awhile to be able to view your account?

2. By using my new card with so many offers will I get the ECB's that were advertised in the flyer that I purchased?

and finally!

3. I purchased the Colgate toothpaste for $2.99 and hopefully will be recieving the $2.99 ECB credit. Can these offers be reused so to say? For example, if the same deal is going on next week for an item that I purchased this week and I buy it again will I recieve the ECB for each purchase even though it says limit 1 (not sure if this is per week though). I hope that this last question makes sense!

THANK YOU ALL!

Lisa

Hello & Welcome Lisa!

1) Give it a couple days for them to get you card entered into the system and it should start showing up online for you.

2) Yes you will! If you have any trouble, save your receipt & call the CVS customer care line and they will credit your account for the ECB's that don't show up. Don't ditch the receipt until you have them as they ask for the receipt number to verify in the system what you actually purchased.

I just signed up for a second card a few weeks back so I can "double dip" on the especially good deals as many of the gurus around here do. All my ECB's have shown up on the new card & I purchased ECB deals on that card the same day as well.

3) If it shows up in the flyer week after week as a 1 per card deal, then you can purchase one every week & get your ECB's each week. Just look in the fine print on the circular and it will give a date range for the deal. Different date range - different deal.

Hope this helps!

Lisa-Welcome to AFC!

Also, if you find you cannot view your account online for a while (while they put it in the system), go ahead and go to the store two days after the purchase was made and buy something small (Ramen noodles are usually .30, or a pencil is .25), and your ECB's should print out. Getting another card is awesome! I myself have three, but make sure and have a system where you can keep them separate from each other. Remember, each ECB is account specific!
Glad to have you here, and ask away! MJ is the queen of ECB's, and if there's something one of us can't answer, she usually can!
