| Is anyone else getting bored with CVS?
Or is it just me? Seems like the same old deals and so few of them lately. I use to get so excited to see what kind of damage I could do. Today I went and got new ink and a few items but it just doesn't feel the same?? |

Definitely bored. Today is the first time I ever walked out of CVS without making a single purchase. Nothing seemed good enough to use my ECB's or hard earned money on. I went to the grocery store instead and did GREAT using my coupons there. I hope things improve at CVS soon.

I'm glad that it's not just me. I think I will probably skip tomorrow. I only went today to get ink with my bucks.

If you had ECBs saved up and printed either the $5/$20 or the $5/$30 coupon, you could walk out of the store tomorrow with a $5 profit after coupons/ECBs by just buying the free after ECB items, almost free after coupon/ECB items tomorrow without spending any oop. That's enough profit to buy a gallon of milk and a carton of eggs. If you don't use the items that you get free after ECB, donate them. There are plenty of places that appreciate them. If you're tired of the same deals, just think of them as opportunities to grow your ECBs. I do much better with buying my groceries in a grocery store. Hands down. I can usually walk out each week with close to $100 worth of groceries for less than $10. But, if I want to actually make money and have items to donate to other places, I chose CVS as my playground. If you're truly bored then perhaps it is time to find a different playground. Some like to see the glass as half full... |

It's been pretty lackluster for me too. I got all excited about the $/$$ coupons last month, but then just didn't want much of anything. I had printed off like ten of those things and it was just a big waste of ink for me because I think I only used three. I had a $10 ECB expire last week and didn't realize it until late in the week, and I don't know any managers that will push it through for me. I haven't been able to roll the way I used too.

I thought it was just me. Glad to see that others are getting tired of the same old offers.

I've switched completely to Walgreens myself. The deals definately aren't what they used to be. And as far as BF deals, some stores have already started their killer deals, like Target and so forth. Maybe the new year will usher in some better deals at CVS.

I don't think people should be made to feel bad for being bored with a store. CVS has INDEED been boring. I LOVE the store, so I'm there every week, but it has been lackluster. BUT, this happens almost EVERY year, the month of November is slow and then BAM BLACK FRIDAY ESTRAVANGA! So I would keep it rolling, and keep the Friday after thanksgiving in mind. I don't want to pay any OOP that day, and KNOW something will interest me, so that's incentive enough to keep going, even if I just "cash" out with some neat Christmas items. |

I used my bucks on ink yesterday. I'll probably just pay cash for black friday and then use those to keep me going next year. I hope for some $?/$? to use that day also.

The store I usually go to Friday has a friendly cashier there, and she said she has not seen the Black Friday ad, but asked me why I hadn't been in lately, and I told her that the deals have been horrible. She commented that many of her "regular customers" have not been in lately. I am down to $13 in ECB's if I don't see anything good for Black Friday I will probably just cash them in.

My store won't even get their Black Friday ad until the begining of that week. Good luck finding anything. |
