| Cvs bogo?
How do CVS BOGOs ring up? Are they both half price? or is the 1st full price and 2nd free? Can I use a $1/1 Q for each or just the 1st one? Thanks!

They ring up as the 1st one being full price and the 2nd one being free and you can use a coupon for each item, even the free one.

First full price and second $0.00, but yes the register will accept a coupon for each item, AS LONG AS the total of the 2 coupons does not exceed the total of the 2 items. If you have 2 $1/1 coupons and the item is $1.99 and the second one is $0.00, the register will take the first coupon but will beep on the second coupon and only accept it for $0.99. HTH

![]() As long as the coupon face value doesn't exceed the register price of the item, the coupon *shouldn't* beep for either the first item or the second item. You'd be able to get the overage for the coupon amount on the second item. Edited to add: In your example above, the register doesn't count the "free" item until the end so you can use a coupon against the item. Because of that register programming, you can use the full value of coupon against the "free" item. So let's say the item is $1.99 and the free item is $0.00. You could use your full $1.00 coupon against the 1st item and your full $1.00 against the second item. If you had $2.00 coupons, you could use your $2 against the first item but your second $2.00 would beep prompting the cashier to reduce the coupon down to $1.98. You'd get a total of $3.98 off your purchase of $1.99. <--- Coupon overage with BOGO sale at CVS. Last edited by Madmurphy; 11-06-2009 at 03:11 PM. |

I updating my post when you were typing yours. BOGO deals make all the difference on coupon overage. With the way the system is set up, the second coupon gets put against the full value of the "free" item so there's no beeping. ![]() But, sadly, there haven't been many deals where we've been able to get overage lately. |
