| What happens if I bring the stuff back...
I bought just now this from CVS 1 Nova Max 4 Robitussin 1 Gillette Disp. Razor used coupons but forgot to give my ECB. When I got to the car I remembered it. Went back to the store and they said they aren't gonna the my ECB and give me my money back. I wanna go to an other store and just give the stuff back. What is going to happen? Are they gonna take it back? Do I get my money back or a giftcard? Thank you!

I'm not quite following you. This is my understanding: You went to the store and purchased 1 Nova Max for $9.99, 4 Robitussin for $5.50 each and 1 Gillette Razor for $7.99. You used coupons for the Robitussin (4 X $2 ?) and one coupon for the Gillette Razor (1 X $2) + a CVS coupon for $/$$? You received a $9.99 ECB, a $10 ECB and a $3 ECB at the bottom of your receipt for your purchases. Then you went to the car and remembered that you didn't use your own ECBs to pay for the purchase so you went back inside and the cashier said sorry, she can't help you. Now, you want to go to another store and return the merchandise just because you forgot to use an ECB for payment at the first store? If I'm understanding correctly, this is one of those instances where you have used coupons on each of the items purchased and received ECBs for each of the items purchased. If you used a CVS $/$$ coupon, you just about received everything for free after coupons/ECBs. You shouldn't go to the second store to return anything. It's one of those live and learn situations where you will remember the next time to take your ECBs in with you the next time to pay so you will have little to no oop. But, you didn't lose out. You still have your initial ECB to use on a next purchase. |

I've been in similar situations before w/ forgetting to use coupons and whatnot, and I've taken the 'live and learn' approach that MadMurphy suggested - it actually makes me more conscientious as a shopper now, since I remember what happens when I am not so careful. If you're in a tight financial situation and absolutely need to return the items b/c of the difference in cash OOP, the ethical thing to do would be to return/destroy the ECBs that you received unless you immediately re-purchase the items w/ your correct ECB usage.
