Today I was at CVS. I bought 8 Skippy peant butter~~~2 for $3~~total =$12
I had 7 coupons for 40 cents off a piece. If you buy $10 worth of Skippy you get $5 ECB's back.

Then their other deal was to buy $10 worth of Lipton tea bags, and get $5 ECB's back.......and they were on sale for 2 for $5~~~~or 4 for $10.

When I got to the register I noticed that it said in the ad.......one offer per customer (or something to that effect).......I was going to put the Lipton back, as it wasn't that good of a deal if I'm not getting the $5 ECB's back. The cashier seemed to think it would work. She said I should ring them up on a separate transaction.

On the same receipt as the Skippy I also got the four 12 packs Pepsi and 4 Lays for the $5 ECB's back (will send this in for the $15 MIR).....This generated 3 coupons on my receipt....4 EXTRA BUCKS, $1.50 OFF ANY PHOTO PROCESSING $5 OR MORE, AND SAVE $2 ON A $10 REVLON COSMETICS PURCHASE.

Do any of you CVS experts think I will get ECB's for Skippy and Lipton? If not, I'll take the Lipton back......
Next question, if you return something that you bought using ECB's......how does that work?

Doubtful on the second ECB's...sorry! You should've got another card!
If you return something that you used ECB's on, they will more than likely put it on a GC.

IME you are better off not taking the receipt with you if you return something bought with ecbs. I actually had a manager advise me to do that.

The manager said you should try to return your stuff without a receipt?

Yes I returned something that I used ecbs for and this new manager said he could only refund me in the amount I actually paid in cash, but that if I had come in without a receipt he could give me the shelf price! I told him I had had others give me a gift card when it exceeded cash paid and he was clueless! I have actually made 2 returns to that location when I bought using ecbs and have not problem with no receipt! Truly this is one of those managers that if I think anything will require CVS knowledge, I usually leave and go to another store or come back later!

hey I got a good one today my CVS rn out of the skippy and lipton tea bags so what they are doing is giving a raincheck for the skippy and a raincheck for the tea that states free!! . She said it will cover thew EBC I won't be getting...I think it is in my favor. Wonder if I hadn't bought some 2 mayo, 2 skippy if she would have gave me the tea for free??
