This kind of thing normally applies to the 'quarterly extrabucks' which are based on the amount that you spend during the quarter. If you spent a total of $100 during the quarter, normally you'd get back 2%, which means you'd get $2.00. With this promotion, I suspect it will be the 2% that gets doubled (so 4%), so you'd get back $4.00 instead of $2.00. Sadly, it does not mean that you get double the ECBs from promotional purchases. It's still a good deal and you definitely want to use it, just make sure you know exactly what it means so you're not disappointed in the end, and so that you don't plan deals thinking they're going to end up a lot better than they really are.

um, this isn't exactly how it works.

if you spent $1.02 out of pocket, they will credit it as if you had spent $2.04, so you will only need to spend $ 12.50 to get your 50 cents back in january, rather than 25 dollars like you usually do.

it's not QUITE as exciting as it sounds!

HUH!? The lady said that all extra bucksyou get you will get again in Jan. So today I got $4 extra bucks. In Jan I will get anyother $4 extra bucks. It is the first time they are doing anything like it that is what the lady said

Just FYI for anyone wondering about the verbage on the actual flier:

"Use your Extracare card to earn double Extra Bucks on every non-pharmacy purchase in-store. Just present this certificate once at the register between Nov 1st and Dec 15, 2009 and your double Extra Bucks will be added to each of your receipt totals. They'll be available for you to redeem on your first visit in January."

It's just a tiny little piece of red paper, about the size of a post card that says double your bucks when you scan it with your purchase. They even had triple bucks before if I remember correctly. But it never works out as good as it sounds....

You'll have to look around at your stores. Check by the registers - that's probably the most likely location.

I found it at the front of my store where the havea table set up with info about CVS bucks and cards. They lady also offered it to me when I got up there. I think some stores didnt have it set up yet. BEcause when I called another store to see what it was all about the lady was like you called at the perfect time I was just about to open the box and read about it.

I found mine in the razor aisle. It says something like "2X Extra Bucks" It's red.
