DD just started wearing contacts and I don't. The doctor gave her the opti-free contact solution. Does anyone know if it makes a difference what kind of contact solution you use? She wears the two week contacts.

I'd love free contact solution, but I don't want to switch if it's going to be a bad thing for her. Any insights would be appreciated.

i use to wear contacts and from what i remember the only difference in solutions is some you have to rub the contact around in the solution and some solutions are no rub if your eyes are not sensitive i wouldnt worry about it the doctor probably just gets samples from one specific company and would hopefully tell you the same thing that there all pretty much the same.

I have worn contacts for years. I use opti-free but can certainly switch for free solution. There isn't much difference between them. If you are buying no-rub solution now you should be able to by no- rub in the free brand. If you are worried try buying a travel size container to DD and have her try it out for a few days. Her doc probably gave her Opti-Free because opti-free gives them free samples to pass out. Hope this helps.

I've worn contacts for years and have changed solutions many times but I have found Complete and stuck with it for a long time. I never have a problem with my lenses drying out like I used to. This solution is really good. If you've had to use drops because your eyes/lenses feel dry you might try it out.
