am i the only one who has not been inpressed with the cvs ad the last two weeks? maybe i am just getting spoiled cause i am used to getting so many good deals there a majority of the time.

Me too. I have $30 ECB's that expire and I have to use and they have nothing good to use them on. Good thing I have rainchecks from prior deals, I guess I will have to start using up some of those rainchecks.

I am so glad this was brought up. I have found the ads to be lacking and the ECB deals are not all that great either. What's going on? I'm finding myself going to WAGS more often because their deals have been better than CVS for about a month now.

Well, I agree. This week though, I had a flu coupon 5/25 expiring so I worked out one of the cold remedies deals (buy 20 get 10 ecb's) and the spinbrush, which I had coupons for every item so it was worth it....well, I check out and completely forget to give the cashier my 5/25 coupon!! I've paid and moved to the side to study my receipt and figure out where I went wrong when I see what I've done! EEK!!! The manager was super nice and said if I come in by the end of the week he will honor my coupon, which is awesome, except for the fact that there is NOTHING I want to buy that produces good ecb's. UGH!!! Now what?

I'm with you on this one. I really only did the Dove deoderant, Crest toothpaste, and Lady Speed Stick deal. I had the 5/25 and 15.99 ECB's that I needed to roll, and this was really all I could come up with. Walgreens had way better deals these past couple of weeks. It seems the next few weeks will be a bit bare at both locations.

Oh, well....Publix, here I come!!

I like to imagine that they've let it die down a bit so that we'll have a BIG BANG for Thanksgiving/Black Friday with all the freebies that we feel we've been missing out on.

I started couponing the May before last, and it seems the deals have been much more sparse for months. For one, I got tons of free makeup and mm makeup last summer through Black Friday, but no free makeup for months. And I could really use some! Remember all the cover girl and loreal freebies? Where are they now?

i feel the same way. The only reason I have been to cvs in the past few weeks is b/c of expiring ecbs. I got some halloween candy and stocked up on cold medicine. Still feels a little like I wasted the ecbs, though, even though I didn't really have a choice.

Hopefully Thanksgiving/BF deals will make up for the lack these past few weeks!

I wish they would pick back up soon also. I had some ecb's expiring 2 weeks ago (i think) and couldn't find anything worth while to roll into. So i decided to use some rainchecks. Well to my surprise when they keyed in the event code to force print the ecb's that i should have gotten back it said event code not found. I was thought i was going to go crazy cause the cashier was like i can't give the ecb's to you then. I was at my fav. cvs so i asked for the manager which knows me well. So she looked them up in the old ad thinking the person wrote the wrong event code. Well, nope they wrote the event code right but the register didn't recognize it. Luckly she knows me and printed them for me anyway. Otherwise i would have been extremely upset.

But I love love love my cvs. They are awesome and they know it and i have called corporate several time to tell them how awesome my store is.

There is free/MM makeup this week if you're willing to go to Walmart and snag some pink Covergirl coupons off of the Max Factor makeup.... LOL

It seems as though the event codes drop out of the system after awhile. They can easily type it in manually. Some people are just crazy and think that registers are supposed to 'work' or something. LOL

The store manager told me that they have to have the event code otherwise there ap team or whatever they call security jumps there butts. But she is very nice and printed them for me anyway. Maybe she was just saying this in front of the cashier and the cashiers have been told that if it doesn't take the event code not to give the ecb's. I dunno but they took care of it with no problems, but i have to admit when the cashier first told me that i was starting too freak on the inside. You probably heard them say LP team. LP = Loss Prevention. It's not your fault (or theirs) that the event code doesn't work, it's their job to satisfy the customer by redeeming valid rainchecks. LP needs to be concerned with people slipping condoms and makeup into their purses and pockets, not with a couponer trying to get a legitimate deal in plain site.

I really haven't found much that I wanted lately either. Those $5/$25 Q made the difference however. Sunday I went in to use the Q with 3 watches at 75% off and the meter. I was so pissed because when it was time to pay I pulled out my debit card and paid without using my ECBs that I have stacked up. I spent $21 OOP instead of using my ECBs. That is what happens when you get distracted at the register. I have to quit TALKING long enough to watch what is happening and THINK about what I'm doing.

I bought a case of pop last week with my last $4 expiring ecb. I have a 50 cent one left from the last quarter "bonus" and that's it. Haven't been inside a CVS since I bought the soda.

the good news is it looks like this coming week might not be to bad and the week after looks like it may be ok too. lets keep our hopes up and i am glad i am not the only one who feels this way. . and i am sure this has been posted a million times but this weeks good deals off the top of my head are dove shampoo the speed stick deod with the coupon that the machine spits out. free after extra bucks. softsoap body wash manu. coupon and cvs coupon with tax .58 cents and thats about all i can remember

i totally agree with you on this i was just thinking about it the other day i am not a big make up person but i like getting it when its free so that way if it doesnt work out i am not out any money
