I thought if you have a CVS Gift Card you could use it to buy anything in the store including another Gift Card {Toys r Us, Visa Ect..}.

The Cvs I was at today would not let me use the gift card to purchase another gift card I also had other things I was buying not just the other gift card. They let me use the CVS Gift Card to purchase the other items and I had to pay cash for the other gift card .
They rang it up 3 times and said I had to pay for the other Gift Card by it's self. Totally didnt make any sence to me .

Any help would be welcomed

I've honestly never tried this, but I would fight for it. The gift card was just that...a GIFT, so you should be able to spend it any way you want! Anyone else have a thought?

I agree with you Shopa - I would argue it. But then I argue over anything so that's not a good indicator of anything!

I have done it. I have done it many, many times in fact!

In my "rolling ECB's to GC's thread" I even said that I will usually end up with a few dollar balance and pay for it with a GC and then roll the next time before you use up your current GC so you are never investing actual cash back into the "game".

If they would have tried it, it would have worked ~ guarantee it! I usually just say "well can we just try it and see" and then when it works they realize that it must be OK or the register would have had a fit!
