| waiting the 48 hrs for those ECBs to print... ponderings as to why they don't print This relates to a comment that GBM shared in another CVS post. October Monthly CVS ECB Deals I purchased 2 boxes of Playtex Sport on Sunday, 8pmish It is 47 hrs later and no ECB. However, according to GBM's thoughts (in the link above), that store could've already reported their sales/stuff/transactions for the day PRIOR to my purchase. Thus.... I can wait 1 more hour only to find that it's still not available, yes? Thus, would explain why sometimes ECBs take 3 days to print/become available. Just my thoughts as I debate whether to go shopping tonight. Although, no nearby CVS has a Playtex Sport to be found. (Thanks Angie! ) Luckily she can't find my secret CVS store. *insert evil laugh* |

| That is true Lynda! I can't find anything at any of the stores. They get cleared out before I get there. I sent GBM several of my coupons, hoping that he can use them before they are expired. Lord knows that I won't get to! |

| You should of let me know that you needed them...after I sent him the first batch I found more and sent him more. Though he keeps telling me he needs more tampons and pads. I am beginning to wonder if he is using them for nosebleeds. ![]() |

| Just wondering if LSLP got her loot or not? If not, that poor CSR at 800-shop-cvs is gonna be made to walk the plank this morning! |

![]() Well, my initial thoughts (about me buying too late on Sunday to be viewed - ECB wise - as a Sunday purchase) were correct. I was expecting a $10ECB to print on Tues and a $40ECB to print today. Nothing ever appeared in my acct yesterday. I went to CVS this morning, bought a water, and had a $50 ECB print. Not a $10 and a $40; but one big $50. So... I sat in the car with paper and pen and figured out how to best spend it with the coupons I had (which was mainly $1/1 Playtex, tho I had a few printable 2.50) I did manage (b/c that store was stocked baby stocked! noticed how I used the past tense there!) to flip the $50 ECB into a $70 ECB with only a 1.95 OOP. Now what to do with that $70 when it prints on Friday -- all I have left are (2) 2.50 and tons of $1/1. Again, lamenting that I didn't start this deal sooner. Oh well... other deals will come my way. |

| Will you ever catch up with GBM on how many tampons he has? I think he is going to be making those tampon shooters out of them. |

| ~30 rule~ There is a rule that you can only have 30 outstanding ECB at a time. I think the number is lower, but CVS says it is 30. This includes the the coupon ones too. Once I had a problem with this and so I took $5 ECB and a $5/$20 (back in the day of the weekly ones) and I used up about 10 of my "junkie bucks" ~ sure enough, 2 days later out came a long stream of ECB! She one of my active cards, I lost so it took me a while, but I got CVS.com to put those on my other card. Well they showed on-line, but would never actually print. The were waiting in my que!I really shouldn't have had it switched to that card ~ but it had the same name & addy so CVS automatically wanted to put it there. PLAYTEX Check your grocery stores ~ mine had $1/1 ~ not as good as the $2.50, but the sale only lasts a little while longer ~ better to roll ECB into 20 boxes w/ a $1 profit than to roll 4 w/ a $2.50 profit. |

| MJ -- When you say "30 outstanding ECB" You do NOT mean $$ value. You mean actual printed coupons, yes? |

So we have gone from storage, to being a distribution center. Over the last week, I've turned over more boxes of these things than I want to think about. But two good things have come from acquiring all these: 1) I made all sorts of new friends, and everyone seems to be very appreciative to get them free, and 2) my basement now smells permanently like these things (which are supposed to be unscented, right?) |

If you drop at Goodwill you can get a rcpt for the donation (but I think we all max out on allowable amount for tax purposes!) When CVS had the H&S and the HE trials that were paying $1 & $2 for the trials and there were weekly $5/$20 ~ I bought hundreds! I stuck a box in the car and tilted it slightly so the bottles wouldn't tip over (even though I always check the tops out of habit) and when it was full I stopped at an old folks home and asked if they wanted it. They run a little store for residence and the money goes towards partys. They were so appreciative. But I find that keeping a "donate" box in the car cuts down on the bags coming in and the clutter. Every little bit helps! |
