I just started CVS after lurking in the forum and seeing some good deals. Well I applied for a card on 9/29/08. I went this morning to do the maxfresh colgate deal and in my receipt is says that there is an issue with my card. I called hotline who stated it might have been deactivated for excessive use (?) or for no use. Is it excessive use when I bought 8 Hershey's candy bags for $.59? I have no idea why it got deactivated. Any ideas?

Weird. Call 1800 shop cvs and see if you can talk to a person!

There is another thread on here that this happened to someone! So sorry. Seems the more than 'improve' the worse it gets!!

There are HUGE glitches in their system sometimes. I received a $100 GC in the mail with a letter stating that 5 other cards all had my information on them-that there was a 'glitch in the system' a few hours one day, causing these bulk up of cards under just one account. I was actually contacted by another random person saying that they could see all my info, and that they would contact corporate. No skin off my back! I recieved a great GC!

Just call CS and they will straighten it out for you!

ughh... that would stink! Did you call the cs? It has to be a mistake if you were only buying candy? Is it a second card in your household? Maybe you had applied for one a long time ago and forgot?

Thank you for your response. I usually don't do CVS because they are too far from my house. I decided to get one when I found the candy bags on sale. I did call CS and they got all my info and will mail out a new card. I told CS that I had done the colgate deal and no Rewards printed out. Hopefully they will at least send coupons. $100 GC would be great!!!!

It was me that had their card deactivated. I found out that it was a result of my card not "tracking" correctly. They said it was not connecting to print out my ECB's. I got it straightened out after a few days and was able to use my ECB's with my new card but I had to wait for a new card to come. Good luck straightening it out! If they don't give you answers on the 1800 CVS number than ask for a manager, I found that they knew more and were better able to help me.
