I sent an e-mail to CVS about hating the so called crappy ad. This week we did get a good ad so not sure about this reply:

We are currently conducting a 6 week test in your area to determine the effectiveness of our ads. I appreciate your comments and will include this important feedback in our evaluations. Again, this is only a test and I appreciate your patience during this time. The ad will return to the previous schedule at the completion of the test period.



We appreciate the time you have taken to share your comments with us. Thank you for shopping with CVS/pharmacy, we look forward to your continued patronage.

Not sure what to expect now for next weeks ad. Oh well wait and see!! Pennsylvania

My guess is that is an automatic response, they probably have too many to respond to.

It seems that they want to stop giving out all these great ECB deals and see if profits change in those areas. DON'T shop there during the test if you are in a test area, then they may decide to make it permanent. Just my thoughts, anyone else think this is what they are doing?

That's what I'm wondering. i got the yucky ad last week and 2 stores today told me they weren't going to be getting in the ECB book this month as a "test". So I will avoid those stores for sure.

I did get a call today from the CVS I go to most often about the Loreal Revitalift being out of stock everywhere. They are holding one for me for free and the manager was wonderful. I told him how I can never find RIB at any of the multiple CVSs around here. He clued me in that his store only gets 12 mid-month and that they fly off the shelves. He has asked for more but he can't get them. He was super-friendly, I told him how that's my favorite CVS, the staff are polite, they are coupon friendly, helpful pharmacy staff, etc. Wags and RA are right across the street and they are nowhere near as coupon friendly or helpful.

I prefer CVS, no rebate hassles, the ads are easier to plow through, I really hope they aren't going to change overall.
