Goof on their part... So I went to CVS yesterday to get my giftcard that I was told they would honor for a new rx that I filled last week...they wouldn't give me the giftcard...I was so mad Then I go to do the makeup deal, pert deal and a few other things...upon checking out I should of owed very little, actually it became -$10 so I went ahead and did the candy deal to make $5 ECBs..When I went to cut my ECBS today and put them up I noticed the cashier put in a coupon for $32.00.....OMG I can't believe it I feel bad and think I almost need to go up there to let them fix it

Wow, what a deal. It's up to you, you could take it back because they may eventually notice the snafu if you used your extra care card. Or they may have such a hard time figuring it out and trying to fix the error they might just say keep it. Thats happened to me before, but YMMV. I don't shop at CVS, so this is just my humble opinion! HTH! Good luck either way!

Yea i would . That cashier should have been more carefull, but she will be short in her drawer. She will be very happy that you found the mistake. Might work to your advantage to do right by this.

I agree...I would call and find out what day and time the store manager will be in. Don't tell them why. Then go in and explain everything that happened I am sure he will make it right and give you the gift card. And you will feel better knowing you did the right thing even if they didn't do the right thing. If the SM didn't give you the GC and he was there that day, then I would call and report it to CVS cares, then you will get a call from the DM ![]()

Heh. Mistakes happen, especially on the touch screen registers. I hate them! But yeah, I totally believe in karma. So, if you do too, I'd probably explain to them what happened. Best case scenario, they let you "get away" with it but at least the cashier can then explain the large amount.

I would at least call and let them know.. odds are they will not make you pay it back and if they do I'm sure you will find a creative way to make it better for yourself!!

I don't agree that the drawer would be short because a coupon is a form of tender so it will not say that the money should be in the drawer - but they may very well question a $32.00 coupon. However, I will admit that after the gift card issue I probably would not bring it to their attention. Just my honest opinion.

All coupons must be accounted for so 1) They will be missing a $32.00 coupon. 2) They will be missing a $32.00 "coupon." If anything, it's gonna be on that cashier's plate. It's almost positive nothing bad will happen to that cashier though, unless he/she has a habit of making mistakes, or "mistakes", like that.
