the one coupon per purchase dilemma So I've been going to several CVS this week so I don't wipe out one store's stock of the vive. Today at one I had 3 vive qs and 3 trident qs. Cashier said, sorry, you can't use all 3 coupons for each item and calls the manager. She points out, it says one coupon per purchase and he said, sorry I can only allow one per customer. I didn't argue, just paid for the ones I could use coupon for and my other stuff. I called CVS customer service and was told since it says one per purchase it means going to the register to purchase once. So I asked if I did 3 separate purchases it would be alright? He said yes, but the manager had the right to decline. I told him I thought it was rediculous since I had the right items and the right amount of coupons and with the price of gas I drive to a CVS to get all I want to get instead of having to come back 3 times. He said he understands but that was what the coupon says. I just don't get it. I guess that CVS won't be getting my business.

Ah, another case of Per Customer, Per Transaction, Per Purchase. Different meanings for each.

Well you could go to the pharmacy for one purchase and then the front of the store for another ... It does stink about the interpertation. I just used 3 at one store and 2 at another. What's the big D, they get there $$$ either way

I've had that situation too. With me I was okay with it because they were good coupons not good sales (I could get the basic sale anywhere). In that case I just bought my 1 of each and used the coupons at another store for the same price I would have paid at CVS. I'm lucky though because I can use expireds. I'd say you were right in your interpretation of the one per a purchase but I do understand that a store has a right to limit the quantities you can purchase. That stinks but hopefully you were able to use the coupon somewhere else.

They told me that at the store that I am not so fond of. I just took them the next Sunday down to the store that I love and they took them all. So, I think it is definately just whoever you get on whatever day. Because the store that I am not fond of also has given overage, whereas the store where they are so friendly always adjust the amount down if there would be overage.

At one CVS yesterday I had problems using two q's. Tonight at another I had 10 of the Trident q's (20 pks of gum) and she was happy to do it! Weird how they arent all on the same page!

yea, this store is not a one I usually go. It's on my way to school and I figured I'd drop by to get more vive there. I wish they all followed the same set of rules, it gets confusing sometimes.

Luckly both of the ones I go to they are pretty good. Some of the cashiers give these faces like they are tired of seeing me but they never object. Today my hubby went in and bought 10 packs of gum and some baby lotion, and then did another transaction for more baby lotion, then right after that I came in and bought 5 baby products and did each on in a seperate transaction, and they were fine with it, and same went for the other store.

Yeah, there must have been like a mangers phone conference or something...the CVS I went to said I could only use one Q AFTER she explained that the register wouldn't take it. HUH? Then they wouldn't take my skin care coupon because baby powder wasn't skin care. THEN WHAT IS IT? Rough day...but the good deals always outweigh the bad!!!
