My guess is, if you give the $1 first, it attaches itself to the first item, which will be the regular price one. So then when you give the BOGO, it tries to take off the $7.50 off the 50% off item and hence beeps.

But if you give the BOGO first, it attaches itself to the item that's $7.50 or more and automatically takes off $7.50.

Usually we give the $X/1 first for a transaction like this, but apparently this deal is a special case.

I still had a few wet and wild coupons and got the b1g1f up to $3 crt for wet and wild and got the 1.99 nail polishes and crt took off $1.99 and I used 2 of the $1 coupons and bought a 9.99 revlon mascara and used a $1 coupon and paid just $5 and got back $4 ecb's.

I bought 2 of the CG mascaras yesterday and used the BOGO coupon. My cashier only took off $7.50 because that was the max listed on coupon. I tried to use a $1 off coupon as well but since it beeped,she refused it. I bought 2, used $4/12 and BOGO and paid $1.93 for 2. Not as good of deal as most but Ok. I have 1 more coupon of each left. May try another store.

I tried this yesterday, bought 2 mascaras, gave the $1/1 and then the BOGO and it beeped. The cashier told me I could only have 1 or the other because I was double dipping. He said that when I use the bogo it attaches to BOTH items. In fact, this isn't the first time I've heard someone say it. I've had one of the shift managers tell me the same exact thing too.

You can clarify for yourself with CVS CS but a $/1 is absolutely allowed with a BOGO coupon as per the current policy. If your cVS is giving you trouble CVS CS will be happy to call the store and remind them of the proper policy. If you do end up calling I would suggest having CS let the store know you will be in to post redeem a $/1 coupon for every set of mascaras you bought since you were incorrectly not allowed to use the coupon at the time of purchase.

I went to get some more cover girl mascara today my usual store only had a few had no issues got four for 2.12 then I went to a store I have had issues with in the past now regret even going I was told I could not use two $4 off 12 even tho my total was greater then $24 dollars so I decided to just get two proceeded with transaction and she scanned mqs first only took off 4.5 for bogo coupon :-( other store took off atleast the 7.50 then since my total was less then $12 dollars I was informed by the shift supervisor that I could not use my $4 off $12 was told that is the way they been told and how they always do it she was waving the coupon around as we were arguing about this and she accidentally scanned it and it went threw.. She told the cashier just finish the transaction ended up paying $4 plus for two when across town I paid 2.12 for four.. Wish I never went to the store now, wish I would have cancelled the transaction and just left I hate being treated like that and I've called corp on that store before two times but seems like nothing ever changes

Yes, as long as you meet the combined $$ total. For example, if you use the 4/12 with a 4/20 then you need to buy $32 worth of items with $12 of it being cosmetics.

Great thanks. I was told by the cashier I couldn't and that's why the crt kept beeping but I don't think I had over $32 worth of purchase either. Will have to come up with a good scenario for tomorrow. THX!

Good grief. I never have bad CVS trips but I went twice in two days and walked out with nothing my FAVORITE, FAVORITE cashier was trying to take off only $4.50 for the BOGO coupon. I definitely wasn't going to pay anything OOP (was doing the deal twice and I had $4 ECB and was going to use the $1.99 Coke CRT and then get my $5 Beauty Bucks in 48 hours) since I don't even wear mascara. The trip last night I wasn't trying to do Covergirl but it was an issue over policy as well (pre vs. post coupon).

I hate bad trips I'm thankful it was only a 5 item order and not a massive haul.
