Good Way To Help A Friend Start Out - Halls Deal & Milk/Coupon?

So someone hit my car on the 16th and I just got it back today. Lo and behold they found the tearpad coupons I had for the buy one get one free Halls and they were just sitting there on my front seat.

My friend and I are going to a bunch of stores for deals tomorrow. She is a single mom with two boys and just started college. She is getting food stamps but I want to help her get them to go father and as well as to help her understand more of how this works even though she may never be a power CVS'er/couponer. Here is what I was thinking so I could set her up with $10 in Extra Care Bucks for hopefully some good Black Friday sales:

Buy 10 bags of Halls = $20

Use $3/$15 from LI Parent Magazine

Use 5 Buy 1 Get 1 Free Coupons = $7

Total = $7 and get $10 Extra Care Bucks back

*****

I can also do this deal once also but I have a $10 Extra Care Buck I can roll. If I add $3 in product my out of pocket would be tax (if any) and a wash on the Extra Care Buck.

My friend can use some milk. I would also like to know if I buy her milk for my $3 if I can use the $3/$15 on the order to cover it.

Many thanks for any help.

Maddy

If I never get a rep or thank you it will never matter to me as I post when I can, because I can & if it helps someone then I have done a Mitzvah or a good deed. You do not need to repay a good deed but I ask that you pay it forward & help others when you find yourself in a situation where you can.

This is not really a thread for My CVS Trip Today (where it was moved to) as the trip has not taken place. I was asking for help with a scenario . . . So perhaps it could have been moved to Will This Work but there have been no posts there since early October. Is there anywhere else this can be moved to so it can be seen appropriately? Thank you for your help.

this should work buy all your halls together and milk together use your 3 off of 15 first use your buy one get one coupons and your ten bucks back and you should use all ten bucks back and then get ten bucks back. now just to let you know some people on here have been reporting that they are going to cvs and the halls are not 2.00 like it says in ad they are saying they are 1.50 so in case that happens make sure you do the math in advance and see if you have enough buy one get one coupons to cover the amount you will have to buy. hope this helps
