I am planning my first real couponing at CVS. I just wanted to check and see if this will work (assuming my store has it all) TIA for any help! Lysol Neutra Air 3 x 3.00 Toliet Cleaner 2 x 3.00 AP Cleaner 2 x 3.00 Total = 21.00 Minus (3) $1 Neutra Aire (2) $0.50 TB Cleaner (2) $0.50 AP Cleaner $4/20 CRT $4.00 ECB Total = 8.00 Earn $10 ECB Then Electrasol Quantum 3 x 4.50 Woolite 1 x 4.5 Resolve 1 x 4.5 Total = 22.50 Minus (3) 1.00 Electrasol (1) 1.5 Woolite (1) 1.5 Resolve $4/20 readyfill $10 ECB Total = $2.50 So I basically get all the above for a total of $10.50. Is this correct? Is it the best way? |

Yep that will work! If those are the items you are in need of then, that is a great deal!

Coley, I would do this very differently. If buying $40 worth of stuff and paying "only $10.50" ($14.50 if you consider the $4 ECB you're using in the first transaction) or whatever is a good deal, then who am I to argue ... it's certainly not bad. HOWEVER, the way that the CVS ECB program is set up, you have the ability to "roll" ECB's from week to week, from deal to deal (but not in excess of the deal limit). You are basically doing that one buy-$20-get-$10 deal twice. However, it is limit 1. So on that second purchase, you are basically "burning" the $10 ECB, and not getting any ECB's back. I would highly encourage you to try to "roll" your ECB's from week to week, rather than making a purchase to obtain them, only to turn around and burn them. Over time, using the "rolling" approach, your total out-of-pocket will be WAAAAAY less than the "burning" approach!! So what you might do is allocate the $20 deal between the 6 products, based on how you need them (how your family will use them) ... and do the deal once. Maybe buy 1 of each of the six products you listed, or if you need more Lysol than you need Woolite, you can mix-n-match them. Then, take that $10 ECB that you will get, and either use it for another deal, or wait until next week for another deal. I hope that helps you! |
