I'd do this in 3 transactions.

Colgate $2.88 - Q $1 = $1.88
2 - Composition Books = $1.98
2 - Pilot Pens = $1.98
Total = $5.84 + tax (if applicable)
use $6 ecb = very small oop or ecb might have to be adjusted down, earn $5.96 ecb

#2
2 - Stapler/Post-it notes = $1.98
2 - Erasers/clips/pushpins = $1.98
2 - pencil or index card box = $1.98
Total = $5.94 + tax
use $5.96 ecb = little oop or ecb might have to be adjusted down, earn $5.94 ecb
