If CVS or Walgreens is having BOGO may I use two coupons (one per item)?

At CVS, you should definitely be able to. People have emailed corporate and they've confirmed that it's allowed. However, there's a chance they may give you trouble at the register, but if they do, you can call corporate for a clarification.

At Wags, on the other hand, they have no set policy. I've had no problem using 2 coupons on BOGOs, but some people have.

How does that work? Say I have 1 BOGO coupon and CVS (or any store) have a special of BOGO. Do I get it for free?
I'm trying to get this all down. I tried to jump in to couponing, CVS EBSs and Wags but decided it was all too much. I am focusing on coupons at Homeland & Walmart (the only 2 gro stores in my area) and CVS. I'm devouring the boards to learn as much as possible.

I've not had any problems using 2 mfq's on BOGO sale items.

I've also used a B1G1F coupon in conjunction with with a B1G1F sale with no problems (making both products free). Someone in another thread explained it well: Say you have a B1G1F Coupon for Maybelline & Maybelline is on sale B1G1F with the first item being $3.99.... the first item will ring $3.99, the second $0.00. Then you give them the Q and $3.99 is deducted from the first item.

As the PP said, it is CVS's policy to allow you to use a BOGO coupon on a BOGO sale and get both items for free (I got the email from corporate, too). BUT - there are a lot of managers and cashiers who don't see it that way and just won't allow it. The easiest way to get it to work is to hand over your Extra Care card AFTER your coupons have been scanned. That's when the "free" item of the sale will come down to $0. If you give it before your coupons, the second item will be $0 and the BOGO coupon will probably beep b/c the register thinks you've only purchased one item. Make sense?

FOrgot about the OP - you were just asking about using two regular coupons (like using two $1/1) for things that are on BOGO sale, right? It's policy to allow it, but again a lot of managers and cashiers won't b/c the register beeps thinking you've only purchased one item since the second comes up as $0. If you have them scan your Extra Care card after you use the coupons it should go through w/no beeps.

Thanks so much for that info!! I would have never thought about that. They always ask for your card at the beginning of the transaction so I just give it to them. I learn something here every day!!!

The register will not beep in both cases, even if the card is scanned first. This is my experience as a shopper and cashier

Thanks for letting us know. The register has always beeped for me when I give my card first. I haven't used 2 q's on a bogo sale in a long time, though, so maybe it's changed. That would be great - I'll have to try again! Nice to see another CVS employee here on the forum!
