Last week I started shopping at CVS. I did the battery deal and got $15 EOBs. I went back this week and bought things that I would get EOBS and bought things that I didn't get EOBs. I ended up spending around $23 and got back $15 in EOBs. I think after reading others threads that I should have split my transactions up. Hey you live you learn. So can anyone give me some suggestionHello.

By the way, I can't print the coupons from Coupons.com and places that have that same printer, which stinks because that's where most of the coupons I need are at. My CVS in Ellijay just got the scanner thing that you can get coupons. I cannot get a coupon where you spend so much and get some much off anywhere. Everytime I scan it is for toothbrush and nuts. I get the same coupons everytime I scan.

This is what I bought this week:
Coast soap for $1.99
Dial soap for $1.99
CVS tissues for $.99
Rightcard deodarant for $7.99 (couldn't get a coupon)
Sure deodarant for $2.79
Kotex tampons for $3.79 (couldn't print the coupon but am getting some in mail sometime)
softlips x 2 for $3.99 x 2 (didn't realize I had to buy two even though I got EOB I spent to much..I had a $1 off Q)
Blade for $4.69 ( I used the coupon from RIB)
Huggies wipes for $7.99 (I used a $1 off q)
RIB mag for $.99
3 first aid kits for $.99 but I ended up getting these free with q. This was my only good deal I think.

I got EOB on
Softlips $2
Blade $1
Soap $2
Kotex $1
Huggies $2
Right guard $7

I don't really want any of those gifts that you can buy for Christmas presents. I have a 2 month old and a 4 year old so I buy stuff for them and non food items for me and my DH. Any suggestions??? Sorry this is so long. I just got the nerve to finally ask for help.

That was still a good trip for a first timer. My first time : spent $35 did not get any ECB's (Extra Care Buck).
You could roll your ECB's by:
1.) buying more Right Guard (Limit is 5) and if you bought the aerosol kind, there is a $2 coupon inside.
2.) buy more Dial, Coast or Tone soap (limit is 5 also)

Congrats again on your first trip (and first post) More to come. YAY!

Thanks. Glad you think I did okay. Do you know where I can get some of those soap coupons?? If I already bought the dial and coast soap the other day will they know by my card that I can't get but 3 more?? Or is it that you can buy 5 at one time?? Thanks for taking your time to help me!!

You have a few options, including:
(1) Trading here with other AFCers. Go to the ISO (In Search Of) forum and create a post for the Q you are looking for, and someone will post back or PM you if they have any. You can work out a trade with them where you send them coupons they are ISO and they send you the coupons you are ISO.

(2) If you have a PayPal account and are willing to pay a small price for your coupons, you could look on eBay. That is a great way to get multiple coupons! just be careful and make sure you read the description completely (make sure it is the right Q you are looking for, check the expriation date, etc) and buy from trusted sellers (those who have good feedback).

(3) Along the same lines as eBay, you could purchase Qs from a coupon clipping service such as CouponClippers. Go to the "Coupon Menu" tab at the top of the page and look under the heading "Coupon Clipping Services"

Hey I just wanted to say that I couldnt print coupons either and I looked up why. Well it said that if you download apple safari browser it would help. So last night I downloaded it and I didnt have to download the coupon printer so I got to print coupons off. Hope that helps a little I am very new to this....actually I just started a couple of days ago.

Yeah I know the feeling! That's what I get at least 75% of the time right now. Keep scanning you never know what might come out!
And yeah, I made some costly mistakes at first as well. My advise to beginners is read the fine print. Everywhere. On coupons, In advertisent, ect. My mistakes a lot of times involved buying the wrong size or buying it on the wrong date.
I feel like I got a good deal if I spend say $7 and get $7 ECBs back. I know lots of people do better but for me free is also good!
