I just tried to buy eyeshadow that rang up as 9.79. Tried to use a 3/10 and it wouldn't ring thru, clerk said I needed another 20cents. I thought that was close enuf? I didn't think you had to be right at 10???? Should I try another store? He voided out the tx and gave me back my ecb and coupon after he already rang them... Hopefully they still work, he said thy should but I don't have alot of confidence in him .

No that won't work either... It has to be 98% for qualifying items...!!! The carmel won't qualify for the use of 3/10 crt

That's not a cosmetic... :/ I would say throw in some PF if this is the week where it is $7 off any PF cosmetic $7+ and get an eyeshadown for .49 that would work...!!

Me too! I don't know how everyone knows all this stuff, I get so worked up trying to buy stuff..so nervous! There is one cashier that is relatively calming tho..I will have to try and get her all the time!

Nail polish is definitely a cosmetic

The 98% rule only applies to ECB deals. To use a coupon off a $10 cosmetic purchase you need $10 worth of cosmetics in your transaction.

Seriously I know I've told you before but my first black Friday would not have been anywhere near as successful had I not had your scenarios printed out and carried with me to the store.... A friend of mine was there also (both Wags and Cvs) and she had pages and pages and pages of notes from many different websites and sources and there I was with my one print out... Lol I didn't spend more then $2 oop the whole day and came home with so so so much stuff and ecb/rr!! (sorry for hijacking the thread, stepping off my soap box now )

How certain are you of this? I thought I had done it in the past (although that could be wrong or it could have been an expired coupon which they would have been pushing through anyway).

Yeah, sorry, the 98% applies only to getting ECB deals. If you get a coupon for $3 off a $10 purchase you need to have at least $10 in your transaction

They are already generously giving us the leeway of 2%, you are asking for an additional leeway beyond that. I feel that people are using the 98% as the threshold and then being upset when they get near it and the ecb doesnt print/ cant use a coupon. CVS gives us a lot, I feel that is pushing it. When I say you, I dont mean you personally, just as a collective.

I dont believe there is a way to partially quote. I think you just need to delete what you dont want to quote.
