Got an email from CVS yesterday (Friday) which said take a survey... if qualify get to print a $10 ECB at the end... if dont qualify get to print a $2 ECB. I got the $10.

Anyways the survey was all about getting script meds and then told about some ideas CVS has about a new ECB plan for scripts. I did not have time to read it all in detail. Did anyone else get this survey? What exactly was the new idea they have about ECBs on scripts?

You know, I used to get picked for Advisor Panel surveys all the time and now I don't. So, in addition to never getting the good Red Machine coupons, never getting freebies in the mail, missing my birthday bucks, now I can add this to my list.

If CVS only knew how much time I spent pimping out their stuff, they might take better care of me!

me too.I haven't get any coupons from from the red machine except the candy Qs,no freebies in the mail,no birthday bucks.Maybe i will get some if i stop shopping there for a while.

Thanks!! I just checked and got it too. They are offering more ECB to fill prescriptions and to use their online pharmacy tools. I got 10 EBCs!!!

I got this one!! this is the first one I've gotten since 2/24/11. I wish that CVS would take better care of all of us too...

I shop at CVS every single week but I rarely get anything from them. The last time I got a $$/$$ coupon from email was 10/1/09 and I think I've gotten 2 from the coupon machine ever, the most recent one was close to a year ago. I got birthday extra bucks the first year I was couponing (2009) but haven't gotten any since. The only "good" coupons I get from the coupon machine are the freebies that everyone gets. It's frustrating but I keep coming back so I guess they don't see any reason to give me anything good.

It has only been a few months since I started seriously couponing but I got a lot more coupons the first few weeks. It is like they have us now so they no longer feel the need to woo us. Good thing we aren't married to CVS!

I wonder if we stopped buying for a few weeks if the computer would pick up on it and send a q or 2. DH and I both have cards from pre-marriage but only used mine until DH got something for my ILs this week. I am suddenly considering switching to using his card to see what happens to mine.

I did get a $3 off of $10 Cosmetics coupon from the red machine last week though!
I used it when I bought some make up!

My latest theory is that the more you use the garbage coupons they give you, the more likely you are to get more. Stopping shopping definitely doesn't increase - I've tried that . I've made an effort to use all the coupons they give me for the last week or so. I couldn't get it done - too much candy - but I used about 75% of them and I THINK it's working. I was going to give it a month so there's still a few weeks left in my test.

It's tricky, though, to figure out ways to use them and not spend money on stuff I don't need/want, but it's becoming my little game

Ahhh, the wise and powerful Robbo, ! Thanks for your experience, let us know how it goes! Those stupid $.25 off a candy bar just won't work for me. I used some but I beyond the 3 Snickers I got, anything else would be wasting my money on things I would rather not have in the house. Now, if you discover that buying $3 worth of candy bars to use the q's results in a $10 off $50, with this GC deal, I would buy more Snickers!

The candy is definitely the hardest. I really don't want a whole bunch around the house, and I certainly don't want to pay MONEY for it!

Actually I got a bunch of CRTs this morning from both the red machine and on the end of my receipt. So I shouldn't complain, just miss the $/$$ and can't stomach the idea of buying them on ebay--feels too shady and my CVS is so good to me. I don't want to appear like I'm trying to pull anything, you know? I'd only feel comfortable using ones that were attached to my card.

Except for those SWEET summer newspaper $5/20 ones. Remember July? Those were good times .

I saw this mentioned on another website and I saw them before on ebay when I was looking for 2.50 off Huggies CVS coupons (my coworker got one and I figured someone who didn't need theirs might sell it). I don't see how they work cause aren't they linked to a card? The people on the other site say they do but I wonder if they're getting cashiers to push them through.

One time the cashier scanned the wrong CVS card on my key chain and the $/$$ beeped and told the cashier it was the wrong card.

I had that happen once--the cashier just grabbed my keychain without even warning me (I had put it down to rummage through my wallet) and of course the ECB not only beeped but had the other person's name on it (it was a person I used to shop for, but I eventually got tired of feeling taken advantage of and told them they really needed to start taking some initiative and doing it themselves). But it was horrifying! I felt so criminal!

With my luck if I bought one of those it would have some crazy name on it and it would beep and the cashier would cause a scene. If I knew it was blank and widely accepted, shoot I'd buy a whole stack! As it is though, my CVS was looking at me funny just for bringing in the free body wash printables from the MinuteClinic Facebook page. Ferget it. I'm somewhat envious thought of people for whom it's not a problem and who are able to acquire them weekly (without having to open a new email/cvs card of course).

Now that we're on the topic of coupon hiatus, I just remembered something. I have not been getting any $/$$ or % off coupons for the past 3 weeks. Have only been receiving discounts off cvs.com purchases. Anyway, my guess was it was because I messed with my subscriptions on CVS alerts.

Remembered changing my CVS alert subscription to receive online purchases a few weeks back. So a few days ago, I unsubscribed from the online purchases alert (but kept other subscriptions on ECB etc). Sure enough today I got the 20% off q again in my account. Also got a few non-candy CRT coupons that I will actually use for a change today.

Not sure if there's any rhyme or reason to this theory, but we'll see what happens in the coupon pattern for the next few weeks. Will not be touching alert preferences for a while...
