I was at the Rx asking about the new $100 coupon books related to the flu shot clinic (which they didn't know anything about yet) and they offered me some more of the Refill Q books. They said they expire in a few days but they take them expired anyway. My store accepts ANY expired CVS coupons. I live in a fairly small town and we only have 1 store but I love my CVS.

It will depend on your individual store. CVS's official policy is to not accept expired coupons, (that goes for manufacturer's coupons AND CVS coupons/ECBs) but some stores are awesome and make an exception in order to keep their customers happy, especially if you are a 'regular' - generally even the awesome stores will have a 'time limit' that they adhere to, though, maybe a couple of days, maybe a week, etc. Just depends on the individual store and what the SM decides to allow. Your best bet is to go ahead and go in tomorrow and ask. If the cashier is unsure, ask to speak to a manager and very politely just ask if they are able to accept it a day or several after expiring.

I found a $5 ecb of mine today that expired 9/8. (Haven't been going in much lately because of poor deals.) Asked if they could take it at my "favorite" CVS, where I frequently give that cashier some "things" when I get them cheap or free. NOPE. Can't do. Went 2 miles down the road to another CVS. Cashier asked the mgr, he said sure! So I guess I have a new favorite store. (Does the store eat expired ecbs, or will they still get reimbursed?)

Just thought to let you all know, the 4/20 beeped 2 minutes past midnight 9/13/09, but the other category specific ones still work. Used the 4/20 facial skin products then without any beep. Used the 2/10 oral products this afternoon with no beep. Gave one to the cashier to use and it went through just fine too.

it totally depends on your store. don't hesitate to ask. our cvs's in town, of which there are quite a few, have no time limit on expired cvs coupons. my sis-in-law has used some several months expired, and they don't care. they even take expired competitor q's. makes it nice for us. |
