I never get any of the $/$$ coupons from the CSO or the emails. Is there something that I have to buy that will trigger it? My mom gets the ALL the time, and I want them too, . Any ideas or is it totally random and I need to just wait til I ever get one?

There has been much conjecture about this but I don't think we will ever get an answer! I do find it strange that some people get them all the time and I go for months between getting them! It really isn't fair

same here i get them once in a blue moon. My card only works once a week too at the scanner other wise i pretty much just get 1.00 of water or 1.00 candy.

The only thing you CAN do is shop, pray (if applicable LOL), and make sure you're signed up to get the emails. After you do those things, it's completely out of your hands.

I have been using it for couponing for about a month and I get 4$ off$20 just about everytime. My daughter was asking why? I sure don't know.

Sometimes new cards will get them for awhile. Enjoy it while you can b/c *usually* it eventually stops.

ETA: This is also the reason that serious CVS-ers sometimes 'retire' old cards and get new ones - in the hopes that the new ones will start generating the good coupons. Personally I don't bother. LOL

Don't feel bad, Loading... I've NEVER gotten one. Boo, those scanners don't like me. The best I've gotten is $2/$10 CVS products. Usually get the paper towels or Gold Emblem candy (that one did come in handy for the candy sale). A few people have said they reset on Mondays, and I don't usually go in there on Mondays, so maybe try that?? Maybe there's a limited number of the good ones.

not sure but my mom gets a 10/50 every week and my dh gets 4/20 everyweek i very rarely get any of them always crts on products

I am a brand new CVS shopper, just started shopping CVS a couple of weeks ago (for the Bic Triumph pen deal). Last night I made a purchase at CVS and I got 2 of the $/$$ coupons: One $5 off $15 and one $4 off $20. I have no idea why. Maybe it's because I'm so new? They're trying to get me hooked on CVS? Well, it's working!

Actually, I did use my $5 off $25 website coupon (from the Readyfill info offer), so maybe that prompted one or both of the coupons??

I am in the process of retiring an old card ... my new card prints off $x/$xx coupons every week, while I went for months with the old one getting -nada-.

I used to never get the coupons, my mom's card did and her card was fairly old, although she didn't use it all that much. Now I get them all the time, but I am shopping there very regularly so maybe they want me to keep coming back??

I have been going to CVS for the ECB deals for about a month and have yet to get ANYTHING from the scanner. Many of my purchases are $20+ before coupons and ECBS. I don't know what I'll do when the readyfill booklets expire.

I've only had my card for a few months, and never got anything, even as a "newbie." (I'm not bitter, why do you ask? )

It seems to be totally random. I hardly ever get a $/$$ in an email - once in a blue moon. Then of course they always beep when I did go to use them. For a while my card was spitting out $3/$15 CRT's almost every time I went into the store. I probably got 10-15 of them and used most. But, they just stopped one day and I haven't seen another since.

I went to CVS last night across the street from my house and got me the coke deal with 4 rite aid coupons, I scanned my card and the magic machine give me $7/49 I also scanned my husband card and give me $7/$49, I checked my email today and got $5/$25 but my husband got nothing. I don't know why but I always get a lot more offers than my husbands card. I don't think if I can use my $7/$49 though since I'm not planning to spend that much, I think I just let it expired.

If any of your grocery stores accept competitors' coupons, ask if they'll accept that one from CVS. Many will say no, but you might get lucky and get one that'll say yes.

I use to get those(x/xx) a lot and was thrilled. Then, one day, they stopped. then I started only shopping when I could get something for free I haven't gotten any in email either. i did pick up 2 pharmacy reddyfill coupons books though and that has helped. Just bought two bottles of Nexxus using one of those with 2 $3.00 off coupons. I think the cost was $11.69 and 9.69 or somewhere like that. With the ECB's; I got two nice bottles of Nexxus for less than $2.00 net cost.

($10 ECB on the purchase of $20 of Nexxus hair care products)

That's true not all CVS are nice enough to accept competitors q's but I asked first and they said yes! so I'm lucky. We are not coke drinker but I am saving this for our upcoming house warming.

the coupons that are printed with your extra care cards are either in line with what you usually purchase or what their current upsair item is, the purchase coupons however are completely at random and as long as you actually use the ones you get then your cards should continue generating them.

I wasn't talking about CVS's accepting competitor's coupons, I was saying that some *grocery stores* sometimes accept CVS coupons as competitor's coupons. (but grocery stores that do accept competitor's coupons are notoriously picky about what they will consider to be a competitor, so you HAVE to ask before you use it)

i am new to cvs (2 trips so far) and i don't understand what you guys mean by the 'scanner'... the register? where are you scanning the cards? oh, and i never got my free item on a receipt and i have made 2 trips... boo.

Some CVS's have price-checking machines in the store (red or blue/gray box handing on the wall, a poll, or in an aisle). Some of those price-checking machines are set up to print coupons if you scan your CVS card. That's what we mean when we say 'scanner'.

I got a 5 off 15 today! I have never seen one of thes. It came from the register reciept. I then scanned my card on the scanner and got the 7 off 49.
