So I bought one today with America Ferrera on the front. I can't find a publication date anywhere on it. But I'm wondering if somehow I picked a really old one. Because I'm going through cutting out the Q's, and the Gold Bond lotion one has an exp date for 2/28/09 and the Special K ones all have 12/31/08. There may have already been a post about this, but is this a major misprint or did I get an old one?

You picked up a really old one. Return it to the store. The new version has Kate Winslet (I believe) on the cover. Most of the coupons in the new one expire 8/31/09 and 9/1/09 (with a couple expiring 9/15/09)


(I mention returning it to the store because I consider it a CVS product and they should have pulled the "expired" product off of the shelf or at least reduced the magazine to $.05 or some rediculously cheap price since the coupons had expired. There really isn't any excuse for them to sell a magazine that old...)

i did the same thing once, i was just about to cut the q's out and noticed the expiration date was a month or 2 before. got out my receipt and took it back to the store. i think the month was on the spine of the mag. i nicely said that all the q's were expired and it must be an old version and the lady refunded the money, no problem. she even asked if i wanted it back, because they couldnt resell it, i said no, cause i really only wanted the q's in it.
you shouldnt have a problem. just try to have your receipt- and all the q's you cut from it!!

I've done the same! My CVS refunded or exchange the magazine with no problem..........grrr is right!

Since the magazine is old, they have to "strip" them back to the company. It used to be they had to take the front cover off and send em in, then it switched to sending in the whole mag back, now they just get counted and tossed. So, chances are, CVS already was reimbursed for the the mag from the printing company, and that's why they don't mind refunding your money.

On principle, MAGAZINES CAN NOT BE RETURNED TO A STORE. Whether it be a drug store, a retail store, a book store, what not. All sales are ALWAYS final on magazines. This is not the store policy, it is the printing company's policy.

I saw a few last night w/Kate Winslet on cover in the pharmacy area for .99 I believe. The coupons are expiring in a couple weeks so I decided not to buy one. Definitely sniff around the pharmacy on a regular basis cuz lately I've found various q's hiding back there.

Usually I find them pretty close to the perfume section, but it may be that each district is different....the 2 stores I frequent don't do a very good job of putting them in plain site for the public to see....I have found them facing the wall in a section that is in an area where hardly anyone goes. Poor location

- - you know they have some great store Q's and MQ's in there and I always buy several, but overall in several of the stores I have been in they don't do a very good job of advertising them or pulling the old ones. Maybe I'll email CS and see when the next one will come out and what they're take is on the stores that don't pull them.

This happened to me too. I picked one up at my CVS, and got home and saw it was from Winter 2008. What a wasteof $.... I do not see recent isuues of them in CVS...maybe they have discontinued them. (?????)

After searching all over the place the other day, I finally found the RIB magazine... started browsing through it to see if there were some interesting Q's... and couldn't find a SINGLE one!!!

Do the Q's come in some sort of insert? Do you think someone just took the insert and left the magazine??

Most of the coupons are in an insert (card-stock paper) in the middle of the magazine. Sometimes the store removes the insert but more often than not, a customer will remove the coupon insert and leave the magazine.

Always check the magazine before you purchase it to make sure that it's complete with coupons.

I've found them by the newspapers and in the clear magazine racks (with Cosmo, Allure and the like) in the beauty area mainly. Back when the Ugly Betty cover was current I even found them at the front register with the other mags there, but since the issue after that one, I've never found them there again.
