Ok, I am new to CVS shopping, just starting. So yesterday I was walking around and taped under some products, like colgate visible white toothpaste, were some "CVS" type save $2.00 Q's. So I untaped them and stashed them in my pocket. Am I to understand that I can use these AND a manufacture Q together on the same product? I have never seen these before and if that is true this is truly amazing! |

They were probably the "clip free" coupons that save you that $ amount when you use your CVS card.

Did they have a barcode that starts with a '4'? That is the biggest indicator of whether those are Manufacturer's coupons or CVS-issued coupons. CVS-issued coupons will start with a '4' and won't have an adress that the retailer is supposed to send them to, and those can be stacked with a Manufacturer's coupon.

I agree w/PP - it sounds like your store cut them from the monthly "clip-free" coupon book and taped them there in place of a shelf tag. If that's what they are, then you don't actually need to hand them over. It's an automatic sale price.

They do have a bar code that starts with a "4". So is this the clipless coupons or is this an additional savings? It was weird because there were multiple ones taped around the product, not just one.

| Since it has a barcode then YES it's a real coupon that must be scanned, and since it starts w/ a '4' then YES that means it's a CVS coupon which you can stack w/ a manufacturer's coupon if you wish. Be aware that a lot of times CVS's registers will only accept 1 of the same CVS coupon per transaction (meaning you might only be able to purchase 1 of the item and use 1 of the coupon per transaction, but you can still stack w/ a manufacturer's coupon too).

Woo-hoo! You've found an awesome CVS if they actually put out CVS coupons for you right at the product! Congratulations and keep your eyes peeled for more!

Is it possible that they are the Qs from RIB and that someone just didn't need them and taped them around the product? I've seen some of that going on at one of my stores. Otherwise, I need to really start paying more attention!

I swear, it is weird, they look like they are taped by employees and they are right at the product. Its awesome I guess. It feels weird untaping them, but i don't care. Haven't tried them yet. there was one for $2 off of any colgate visible white, $1 off of 16ct. colgate wisp and $1 off of any viologie. 1st two expire 9/15. Viologie says expires 6/30/09, but I literally saw it taped there yesterday....so strange.

Yeah, those sound like the RIB mag coupons. Some are MQ's, some are CVS coupons.

I have always wondered, can you take peelie Q's if you are not buying the product? Can you take Q's that are taped to the shelf if you are not buying it right now? Is buying Q's from clipping wed sites a good deal? If anyone can answer these questions, I would be grateful.
