No you don't. The as seen on tv one is just regular cake. There's nothing to hold it together (like the icing you would mix with the other ones) thus they fall off. I would say maybe trying to freeze them on the stick and then dip or ice and see if that works. But nothing beats the original. I just like the actual pan they sell that makes the perfect balls.

About a month ago, I bought the Bake Pops set for $4.99 on clearance. It was during the 75% off perfume set markdown. Now, both the perfume sets and bake pops ring up full price

Cvs is weird like that when it comes to clearance stuff, but I think if your store manager has an overstock of certain items, s/he will have to clearance them out as soon as s/he sees the need. Many items that I got from store A long time ago on clearance, I still see store B or C carry them in full price. A lot of nice socks, underwear sets, for instance. I think it has a lot to do with how much space they have in the front store as well as storage in the back.

I have been using the cake pop pan for months now, even bought 2. It is SO-O-O much easier than baking a cake, mixing it with frosting, molding, freezing and then finally being able to dip and decorate with chocolate! All you need to do is dip the stick in chocolate, freeze for a few mnutes and then you can decorate. The trick that helps me is a pop stand that I bought at Bed, Bath and beyond to hold the pops upright while freezing. I would LOVE to get more pans at this price.

It does look easier . I personally prefer the original way. Something about the taste with it mixed with the icing. I just love the pan though. :-)

Everyone has different preferences but for me I like the idea of less work and mess. With the cake pop pan they tell you to use milk instead of water (which I have always done) and pudding powder in the mix. This gives it a better and tastier texture. I have also experimented with using the Philly chocolate cream cheese in the center. Quite tasty!

went back today and they had the electronic piggie banks for $1.00, also alot of hair brushes and hair rubber bands for $1.00!!!!!!!!!!

One store here had the hair feather thingies, the sliders grill, and the thing that keeps air from coming under your door, all on clearance for $4.99. They had a couple other ASOTV items marked down too, but I can't remember what they were, but all of them had the$4.99 clearance stickers on them. We have 3 CVS stores here and only one had them on clearance so its definatly hit or miss.
