 How to spot future clearance items
I don't know if this has been posted before. If it has, I'm sorry! In the year or so I have been frugal shopping at CVS, I have paid attention to the clearance habits of my store and I have noticed something. Most shelf tags are white in color displaying the price and item name. When an item has reached its shelf life, the shelf tag color changes to yellow. This tells you that it will be going on clearance soon (usually remaining on the shelf when it does go on clearance). So pay attention to the color of your shelf tags, especially if it's an item you want. When it's yellow, watch it like a hawk!

At my cvs they'll put a yellow tag under it that says something like "get it while it's here" can't remember the exactly wording! but it's not at all reduced yet. I don't bite for their ploy!  I watch that item and sure enough sooner or later it'll be reduced!
