Do the $/off $/ purchase link to cards? I have a $5 off $30 from my hubby card and $5 beauty club from mine. Both printed from CVS accounts online. No names anywhere on coupons. Wanting to use both in sane transaction.

sorry about your luck but they are indeed tied to accounts.. sorry.. so you wont be able to use them in the same transaction..

Are the accounts linked on line? There is an option to add another card to an account and I wonder how that would work with card specific coupons. What would be the purpose of linking them otherwise (there probably is some reason but I cant think of it).

I don't have them linked together. I.wouldn't want to.do that I wouldn't think. I use both separate to max deals. These coupons just look different. No names or card #'s, nothing on them! I don't even know now if I have keep them straight at this point.

If the accounts arent linked together, then I would not even try.

Not really sure why you asked if you're going to do it anyways?

But yes, they are linked to each card and will beep "Not for Card" if you try to use it on a different card. I have an excellent relationship with my store as well and I wouldn't feel comfortable putting them in that position to break the rules just for me. Just my $.02.

CVS coupons never print with your name or card number on it, but they're all programmed to be linked to one card and one card only. Using an ecb from one card for a transaction with a different card would be using them dishonestly.

Not sure if you mean the coupons that you get at the red machine (crt) inside the store but if so mine print with my name and card number (last 4 digits) on them

The op did get me wondering what the "add another card" does when you do that on line. Anyone know?

I've been wondering this too but too scared to touch any card numbers online for fear that I may lose my ECBs and Beauty Balance..

A good example for this was recently when that 20% beauty club q was emailed. I have my 3 cards, 2 of them always receive the beauty emails, (but the other, randomly!) so when this one came out.....I printed the 2 emails from the different accounts/emails, at the same time.....neither had numbers on them with the exception of the code for the coupon. Both of these were the same number......so I used one and it was fine, but that other one never got used. For 1, I forgot which account this tied to, so that whole "intended receiver" is very true. Although, I did try both of my cards, and still a no go. My cashiers know what I am doing, so I had no fear with them....in fact, I really wasn't trying anything....

I have difficulty with the separating of cards too but I tend to write down the # of the last 4 of the card number on the print-out....or put them into their corresponding envelopes.
