Just talked to my store manager tonight. This is not a corporate thing. IT MAY be the district manager doing this. The DM in our area no longer allows store to manually clearance anything.

If an item goes clearance and the store gets a new planogram (new isle setup or rearrangement) and an item is "disco" (discontinued/clearance) it has to be sent back to the warehouse.

The thing i dont understand is why do store make such a big fuss over coupons? They get there money back right? And making business.

Well that depends on correct Q usage. I know recently some people were redeeming Q's for items not carried in the store such as BOGO Q for cherry ocean spray juice. The more Q's are used wrongly the more scrutiny and restrictions will be placed on us couponers.

It was the store manager at the Aliante store in North Las Vegas. The strip stores are actually different and have different rules since they are on the strip. They don't need to honor the sale prices and they don't have sale prices or extra care bucks. Plus if you live in Vegas, you don't go to the strip to go shopping!! I will be calling corporate on Monday and will let you guys know.

which one? shawn? must be the one on camino al norte abd craig? thats where i ALWAYS go since its 24hrs and my work hrs are all screwed up. ill ask the manager in the morning. angela. shes so super nice.

the one on the strip is a 'non-ad' store. they can price match if theyd like, but it doesnt follow any promotions or sales or anything. even a diff system than all other stores. cashiers there have little or no exp with qs. same with the wags on the strip. non-ad store. qponing here hasnt been hard for me. theres many 'untouched' neighborhoods where you can tell nobody qpons at

Huh, maybe I am thinking Wags. I definitely was able to roll some store rewards there. I had planned to just use them on stuff I had forgotten to pack but then there was a great deal on something so I ended up doing a little rolling...nothing huge since space was limited. Now that I think about it more, it had to have been Wags. I had just started shopping CVS last time I was there.

My in laws are in North Vegas so I have gone beyond the strip to shop but the stores I have been to were horribly stocked (or hard hit already) and the staff had major attitudes so I didnt end up getting anything there.

I didn't know strip stores didn't follow ads but it doesn't surprise me. The strip stores are highway robbery. People don't go to Vegas to drug store shop . They only go if they have to and will pay whatever because they need whatever it is. I cringe at the thought though I have been in that predicament in Vegas.

Unless CVS plans to drastically cut prices or cut product and staff in the front store, there is no way this will happen on a large scale.

hopefully they misunderstood, the 3 walgreens withij 30 m of me started a one rr item that is free per day.. they all limited the fishoil to one per day.

Maybe (hopefully) its just that cvs. I went yesterday to the cvs on flamingo and mountain vista and they didnt say anything. Maybe you should try a different CVS by you area. I live on boulder & russel and my 4 cvs are coupon friendly.

That is correct. Guests have paid $7 for 2 advil pills and a $20 delivery fee. $27 for having too much to drink last night. Lol. Add a chicken soup for $17 ; )

I asked a manager at my favorite Henderson store this morning and she said she had not heard of any such change. She said that she would definitely tell me of there were any changes. Then she proceeded to ring up my transaction with my stack of coupons.

Went to a different location in NLV, Camino el norte and Ann. Was told the same thing and the supervisor examined every coupon and gave me such grief. I walked out with nothing. So pissed off and embarassed because she was saying people are abusing coupons and there was a long line behind me.

I wanted to stop and get something fried or ice cream because I was so pissed...

I've already stopped shopping at CVS frequently ever since they stopped the Cash Card/Gas Card/Gift Card, etc thing because I do not want to pay $30.00 before coupons or not for a stupid bottle of laundry detergent. Lol.

Just called corporate. Was told corporate policy did not change but district managers can make changes in their district. District manager is calling me. If this is true, please all las Vegas shoppers, please call corporate and complain. Corporate said that if there is coupon fraud, managers can institute a policy as they see fit.

my store on decatur and charleston hasnt heard anything about ths.....but i have had managers try to write the rules on the spot at the rancho and charleston location but one call to corporate handled him....he tried to deny me of the $9.99 mp3 players i think once he found out they were so cheap he was trying to save them for himself....would suck if they did make this 1 Q change I would not shop there anymore

Would the manufacturers that issue the coupons have a say in CVS having a policy of 1 mq per day? Seems to me CVS would have to check with the manufacturers before changing to a policy like this. For example, what about the P&G coupons that state 4 like coupons allowed per transaction?

Unfortunately no. Some stores choose not to accept any coupons. Some stores double or triple. Accepting coupons is truly at the store's discretion. Now, a manu could change their relationship with CVS if they felt the policy would hurt their sales. There are lots of ways they could pressure CVS but if this actually happened and it was small scale (one DMs area), I don't think a manu would bat an eye.
