| I had an interesting convo with one of my favorite cashiers yesterday. He told me that when Longs Drug was taken over by CVS they kept the same staff and q rules, hence the less q friendly staff. I was wondering why some CVS stores and staff were so friendly, accomodating and q friendly while other CVS stores were not. I will definitely write to corporate and let them know that some of my couponing friends and I have avoided certain CVS stores because of this and that if other customers has a bad experience (because of bad customer service and staff who are not q friendly) and doesn't want to go to drive to the next closest CVS store, they will miss out on their business.

I actually love a challenge, but all my CVS stores are too friendly for me to even have to prove my point anymore. They are awesome! I <3 CVS |

| I think you are saying they all get it at this point. I am at the point where most are so friendly that if they refused something I am not 100% sure on, I just let it go.

I had a funny experience yesterday...Was at the close store, the one where half the staff is super friendly and the other half has been super unfriendly, edging into hostile territory. Yesterday I was stuck with the supervisor that has been the most hostile. I had managed to avoid checking out with him since the incident in January. I am certain it is the same guy because his look is very distinct. He was so nice yesterday! The transaction I was doing was incredibly straight forward so there was nothing he really could have done aside from refusing to sell me the stuff (no RC, no odd coupon stackage) but I wasnt expecting a pleasant demeanor. I dont know what happened...if I confused him because my hair was down, if the store manager talked with him after the incident in January and let him know that I wasnt an evil person trying to defraud the store or if he was just having a very bad day the last time he waited on me. I was so thankful to have a good experience with him! Still havent heard anything about the raincheck being confiscated other than the district manager should be contacting me. |

Aubree, I spoke with corporate regarding multiple $3 off 15 coupons from the pharmacy promotion and was told it was limit one per customer. The only way the coupon policy applies is if you have (2) 3 off 15 that are linked to your card. Since these were not linked to my card they had every right to limit per corporate. I guess they really did not intend for us couponers to print several multiples of the $3 off 15 but its frustrating. I just decided from now one to do multiple transactions and not attempt to use multiple $3 off 15 in a single transaction. This way I know I won't have to cancel the transaction if they will not accept multiple coupons. Some stores are more friendly then others and I am jealous of all the people on here posting about how they get to use multiples with out any hassle I wish they would just stick to their written coupon policy!

For the multiple $/$$ I cashier profile, so far that has worked for me but it isnt a point I would argue with the cashier if I were denied. When I am guessing that I might have a problem, I just make multiple transactions too. |

I had called customer service about one of my cvs stores that refused to take more than one of the 3/15 in the same transaction and they told me that it was allowed as long as I had the right total to use more than one. They called the store and corrected them and I have had no problem since then. She did howevertell me that according to the old policy it was not allowed, but the new policy allows it and that a lot of the stores were not aware of it.

thats amazing stores should know their own corpotate policy. I find that even with the store policy some stores still try to enforce their own "store policy". If I have issues I just try to stay away from those stores.

Lanie, my DH worked for Longs and then it was taken over by CVS. Needless to say, he got out of there fast. All of the CVS's I shop at are former Long's and I have the opposite experience of you--they love my coupons because well, they HATE CVS. Shoot, they even take expired CRT's because they don't care! So sorry you have a negative experience, but it's not just because it was Long's

I have seen a similar thing earlier here in metro Chicago as CVS took over a BUNCH of Osco stores. My closest converted CVS was a MAJOR Pita bout EVERYTHING - coupons, deals, limits...........It has taken a change of manager, several staff changes and some mgr/staff training by me to get them coupon friendly. The converted CVS I pass several times/week was NEVER a problem. However, the asst mgr (now mgr) of that store came from retail grocery, knew coupons and has a wife who is a MAJOR couponer. The store 1.5 mi away is an original CVS, has a mgr who does NOT like, understand or use coupons. I do NOT shop there. Bet you can guess where I still do most of my CVS shopping. |

I agree with whoever said its a matter of personality of managers/supervisors. They set the tone for how their cashiers should feel about coupons. The CVSes by my work are super friendly and very coupon friendly. The one by my house either doesn't know how to handle coupons or is hostile about them. But they also seem hostile about anyone who questions them. I went to buy some formula last week (at the hostile one). It was marked $14.99 on the shelf with a B1G50% tag. It was ringing up $15.99. When I corrected the cashier, she fixed the price but it didn't give me the 50% off. I pointed that out and was told I had to pick between the corrected price or the 50% off the second.

I used to live in a super small town where cashiers would nitpick every coupon you used. Now that I live in Milwaukee, cashiers fly through the coupons and get you out the door as quickly as possible. Love my CVS and Walgreens! Both are less than a block away too!

I would have told her in NO uncertain terms that I had another choice and she could keep the ENTIRE order I would also have had the mgr paged and related the conversation I would further have have taken cashier & mgr names & filed a complaint w/WAG corp. If we don't protect our money/spend as wisely as possible NO ONE will do it for us. |

Just like to add, if this is reported to the Weight and Measures authorities the store will be fined for charging more than the shelf tag. Here, $5000 for first offense if found true. They actually come in to do random inspections twice a year at least. I got this info from my fav super. |
