Do CVS allow overage?

I plan on doing the CG deal.
I'm hoping for ten transactions on two different cards, but even if I get one transaction I'm fine with it

My question is will CVS allow the overage for the Covergirl Qs?
My transactions are like this..

8 CG Blushes @ B1G50%
4 Dawn @0.97

= 33.84
- $32.00 CG Qs
- $2.00 Dawn Qs

= - 0.16 plus $10 GC

Should I just use 3 Dawn Qs and pay the different?
Help please..Thanks!

From my experience no. They will not allow overage as in giving you the negative due at the end of the transaction. They will adjust it to zero. So in your case it would be zero due, zero back.

Depending on what state you live in you would still have to pay the sales tax but NO overages at CVS.

My cvs stores around cleveland always apply the overage to the rest of my order. I have never had them adjust down. I just make sure I have something else in my order to absorb the overage. For the cg deal I am using the overage on some of the extra buck deals so I can make a bigger mm.

In my experiences they will give overage to an additional product that the same as what the coupon is for.

Example
If you have an overage after using the 4 $8 covergirl coupons...then you could get an additional CG item to apply the overage to. It is possible to force the overage thru but usually they adjust it down.

If you do apply the overage to an additional CG you can use a $1 off coupon. Since it is differant. Hth

This is my experience as well.

Per their policy, CVS is not to give overage and cashiers are supposed to adjust all coupons down to the value of the product so even getting the above example to work is YMMV. It doesn't usually prompt for adjustment from the register (aka beep) so it's usually a go however, if the cashier adjusts there's nothing you can do.

My local store does not allow overage, at least not the one time I tried. With the CG deal, the cashier did some crazy adjusting with the $8/2 coupons and made me get a filler even though I would've still been paying something OOP (some change) anyway.

I'm going to try again though because I usually use self-checkout (well I have to at my store, the cashiers don't actually ring people up unless its lunch hour) and things got messed up because the SCO attendant improperly voided some items =/ Maybe I would've gotten overage if she didn't mess up the voided items and voided coupons...

I tihnk it's a YMMV. I did that CG deal. I did 2 transactions but had 2 different cashiers (I had to go sit in my car to re-work my plan). The first cashier applied the overage towards the rest of my order. The second cashier adjusted the coupons down I think. It really stinks though because it makes planning a little harder. I never know for sure which way it's going to be.

EDIT: Thinking about it and the 2nd cashier was new and the 1st cashier was training him but she wasn't by him at the moment. Maybe they apply overage to an order at my store and he didn't know. Who knows. *shrugs*
