Question Using Two CVS cards?

Hi all!

Just a quick question about the cards...I have a card of my own. Is it possible to get my husband one as well? If so, does he have to be with me to use it or can I use his as well? Just curious as I am usually doing my couponing trips without DH as he doesnt seem to enjoy it as much as I do,. I saw some people saying that they would do a deal with their DH's cards and I didnt know if they meant that they would be sending their DH to get it or just using their card.

Thanks,
April

I have one and use DHs as well w/o him. If they ever asked I figured I'd say I was picking up one order for my mom or something. The EB's beep when you use them with a diff. card, but my cashiers always hand key them in without a prob. I did it today to do the Air Wick deals twice

I have 3; mine, my husband's and my mother's and have never had a problem other than keeping them straight.
I usually use one card per trip. Second trip, I'll use my hubby's, etc.
Go for it and good luck!

Thanks a bunch you guys! I wasnt sure how it all worked. I am a WAGS shopper but I am slowly converting to CVS as my WAGS has just become awful towards couponers. I am just totally new at CVS,. My nearest one is about an hour away so the more product I can get on a deal, the better I can justify the trip,. I dont want to do anything wrong, just make it worth the gas to get there and back

Actually, CVS limits to only one card per household, unless more than one household lives under the same roof. Therefore it is against policy for both yourself an your husband to have separate cards. You can request a duplicate card for the same account, but you would be sharing the same offers. There is another coupon site that will actually remove your post if you mention the use of more than one card.

I understand that it's 1 CVS card PER HOUSEHOLD; however, I have witnessed shopper(s) completing their transaction with their card; then doing another with (__) card; and then perhaps another tranny with (___) card - you can fill in the blanks. This person did not leave the store to go to car between trannys either. IMO - I just don't agree to this practice.

Well, its not limited to one card per household. The deals are limited by household, but the cards are not. Because you also use the cards to scan when you get a prescription, each person can have their own.

Honestly, we have two cards. I run the diaper deals on both, or if there is something else we really need and the limit is only one. But, after you get going and get a bit of a stockpile, one card should be more than sufficient.

I do like the limits CVS has. You can go there Wednesdays and still get most of the deals. Unlike Wags and RA, who seem to be out of the good sales items by 2pm on Sunday.

That being said we have three cards in our family. DH and I use one, my 19 year old has one and my 17 year old has one too. I only use my sons' cards when/if they ask me to pick somethng up for them (that they are paying for). After, my oldest son learned that I get quarterly ECB's. He went to CVS and got his own card. I don't buy junk food or soda and they have to pay for those items themselves.

I don't see a problem with my family having three because, we didn't do it to be able to get mutliple good deals. And man has my 19 year old learned about couponing and money maker items. All on his own had collected 4 $4 dollar imotion coupons (he helped his brother find 4 too.) He got them because it was a $6 money maker. He said, his college room could use them but he will likely just leave the at home. Because the other guys in the dorm wouldn't understand airfresheners.

I only have one card. I'm a simple minded person and figuring out deals is hard enough alone for me. I can't imagine have two or more cards and keeping track of what ECB's are with what!

Its not complicating.
The ECBS have names on them and the last 4 digits of the card number.

I keep each card clipped with all ECB and Red machine Q that go with it. This way I dont have to look and see if I am handing the right card to cashier.
I never even take the card from the clip. I just keep th barcode side out and hand it to cashier clippedto its stack of tickets.

Any of you with multiple cards have the green tag? My husband made me buy it the last time we were together. I payed with my card and I've only scanned it once because I'm terrible at remembering before the transaction is over! He doesn't go to CVS often but i bet he would use the green tag more than me. Can it be scanned with either of our cards?

We have 2 cards and I only realized that last week. My hubby does some shopping on his own and CVS must have offered him a card. As for the Air Wick offer. The CVS I usually go to was out. I asked for a rain check. It states that it has no expiration date and that the deal was on Air Wick kit at a sale price of $5 with $10 ECBs. Another CVS nearby has the deal on the kits for $6.00. Of course, both offer the $10 ECB. I'm not sure why the sale prices were different???
