Ok, so you go into your CVS with your reusable bags. Obviously, with all the goodies we cart out of the store you need more than one. So do you have a tag for each bag? Does each tag get scanned when you make a purchase? Or does just one tag get tagged?

Just one tag scanned per day. The second scan will cause the register to beep.

I keep my tag on my purse. I have 2 cards-my husbands and mine and I use the same tag for both. It will only register on each card once per day.

good question..I was wondering myself. I know one tag is enough..but do yous bring a few reusable bags? Or just use one and if you need more take the plastic?

One scan per day PER store. You can go to multiple stores and the scans will register on your tally, but you can only use one tag, I believe someone said before they all have the same barcode anyways. I use a pretty large bag and I have yet to need two.

I still have my tag on my designated CVS bag and will occasionally bring in the wrong bag. When that's happened, the cashier has scanned the tag of one tags for sale. They are careful to scan the actual tag, not the barcode to buy the bag.

I always keep my green tag in my coupon purse, so I always have it no matter what bag I use. I have used it more than once per day, but at different stores.

Yes, all the barcodes on the green tags are the same. I realized this when they had the deal where you bought two tags for $2 and got $2 in ECB's back earlier this year... I tried to use both tags and the second beeped and the cashier told me about the barcodes being the same... so I gave my second tag to a fellow CVSing friend.

You can use it at the same store twice, just in different transactions. So I guess the guideline is one green tag per transaction.

I only have one reusable bag so it's the only one I bring. I once thought I'd need two, but lo and behold it all fit into my one bag. It's much larger than a normal plastic bag.

All of the GreenBagTags have the exact same barcode on them, so there is no need to have more than 1 and it will not count if you try to scan more than 1 in the same transaction or store in the same day. You *can* go to different stores in the same day and use your tag again and it will count. One time per store per day, like pp said.

You *can* get several and put one on each of your reusable bags, but I have a lot of bags and did not want to buy 1 for each bag (never know which one I'm going to pick up on the way into the store) so I suggest keeping it either on your keychain (like with your store loyalty cards), hanging on your purse or in your wallet, or wherever you keep your CVS card and ECBs. That way you will always have it when you go to CVS regardless of which bag you bring with you.

Our family has 3 cards so we have three CVS green bags. I keep a tag on each bag and always take one or two in with me just in case hubby needs to use his card to pick up a few items.

mine's on my keys next to the cvs card and it only gets scanned per transaction. I bring however many bags i think i need, but i got a large whole foods bag that can fit 2 bags of diapers and a few other things.

glad i read these threads even though i already have a green bag tag. had no idea you can use it at two stores in one day!

have a list, get what you need at store #1, use tag. store #1 is out of something else you need, hit store #2, use tag.
