I don't really know where this should go... mods, please forgive me! I have been to other CVS stores where the Sunday sale prices/ECB are entered into the computer system and activated around 6 pm on Saturday night. I called the King store (it's the closest to me) today to ask, and "Kevin" told me that the sale prices are not activated until Sunday morning. I told him that most other CVS stores do it on Saturday night, and he sarcastically said, "Yeeeaaahh... we don't." So my question is, has anyone had personal experience with this store and knows for sure when they activate? It's pouring down rain and I didn't want to go out in it just to get there and be disappointed.

I don't know about that store but it really is up to the individual store when to activate the sale. One store here will sometimes activate the sale on Thursday, sometimes on Fridays if they don't on Thursday, or maybe by noon on Saturday if they're running late. Another store always activates first thing Saturday morning. The third store activates Sunday morning at opening, not a minute earlier. The 3-day only special items will not print ECBs early if your store activates the sales early. So, if you had those in your scenario (like the Vaseline lotion), you would not receive the ECB if you bought that item. Some managers will force print the ECBs for those 3-day special items but not all managers will do that. It becomes a hassle of having to try to return an item that you thought would print an ECB that didn't when you shop early... When I have scenarios with 3-Day items in it, I just find it easier to wait until Sunday to shop. |
