Sometimes the cash register tape will have an 800 number to call to "tell us how we are doing and you could win $1,000 or one of hundreds of other cash prizes instantly." Just curious if there are actual instant winners. I've never won instantly, nor of course the $1,000.

Thanks everyone for satisfying my curiosity! Not even free tissue from my stores. So who IS winning instantly these HUNDREDS of other cash prizes? Surely with all the avid CVS shoppers on this site, someone would have won instantly by now. And I don't see a drawing date for the $1,000.
I've done these surveys from other store cash register tapes too, and never gotten anything either. Just a scam to get information?

Consider that there are millions of people who have at least one CVS card--didn't I hear six million cardholders over the radio at the store one time? Anyway, say one percent get a survey in a month's time. That's 60,000 cardholders. Say half of them do the survey= that's 30,000 spread across America.

There are "hundreds of instant winners and one winner of $1000 each month?" The odds of them being a Full Cup member are pretty slim and the odds of it being me are approaching meteor strike statistics.

I do the surveys every time I get one because it looks nice for the manager at my favorite store not because I actually expect to win anything.

I wonder if you can ask them and they will tell you?

I know that we get a list every quarter of the survey winners. I work at a restaurant but its all the same. In my case all of the restaurants nationwide actually have to "pay" towards the survey pot so people do actually win. We do however pay way more into then is paid out but thats a whole other issue I bet if you ask your store manager they have a list of the winners.

Thats a good question! I actually don't know. All I know is that is shows up on my General Ledger as being deducted from our "account" and the list comes from our corporate headquarters. I am going to say that its something that our corporate office handles.

No wins for me, but I do the survey anyway. I figure lightning might hit and I will win, you never know Besides, it's a chance for me to gush about my favorite store and my favorite cashier and repay them for making my visits awesome every time.

UPDATE. Just got an email survey about a recent telephone contact I had with CVS. Answered it, and was told "not an instant winner." LOL. But was entered into the $1,000 drawing. And so it goes.
