I was thinking of getting the Clean & Clear kit or some other products and notice all are 4.99. Do I need a filler?

Yes. You need to get to EXACTLY $15.

Boo Hiss, What a pain. Does anyone know the price on the clean & clear acne control kit? It is probably over $15 and I have the $5 off and the $4/20. Maybe it won't be so bad.

I purchased a trial size clean and clear to put me over the threshold and it did not work. I had to ask the manager to force print the ecbs.

The Clean and Clear acne kit, I want to say, is like $17.99, but I could be wrong. That number just pops into my head for some reason.

Here's the thing: When they are running a deal on Dove or Clean & Clear, etc. they put those items on sale, and then you also get ECB's back for buying them. But once they put them on sale, it makes it so you have to buy like $20 worth to make it over the $15 requirement. Like, the regular price of C & C face wash is probably $7.99 and so two of them would easily make $15. But then they put them on sale for $6.49 which makes it so you have to buy 3 and then they make more money. And the ad will say "Select Clean & Clear" so you can't just grab a trial size :-( There's a 4/20 facial care in the Readyfill booklet if you have that. If you're getting other stuff too, you can use that AND a regular 4/20 purchase. And your $5 coupon for the acne kit. It is regular price $19.99 but they may have put it on sale this week, I haven't looked. I hope that all made sense.

I bought the kit yesterday and was $19.99 so not on sale. A while back I bought something for $14.99 and I got the ECB even though the requirement was a $15 purchase. Maybe that was a system issue but somehow it did happen. |

SOMETIMES your ecb's will print if you fall short buy a few pennies. The thing is you won't know until you try though and I'm a chicken in trying stuff like that |

I agree, I do too always make sure to meet the requirement, that time I fell short by mistake. I wonder if there is a system by which it is possible to identify when being short by a penny or so is not a problem.

I've done a couple of deals where I've been short by pennies and I always get the ECB's. I think the lowest it's been is about five cents.

I purchased printer ink a couple of weeks ago, and it said "buy 2 printer inks that are regular price $23 dollars each and get 10 ecb) well my printer cartridges were $18.99 and $23.99 but when I bought them I got the ECBS. I was gambleing when I bought them cause I wasn't sure it would work but I heard that little ECB music when it started printing and I just smiled!

Sooo.....I wanted to do this deal. Does anyone know if it'll work just buying the 3 cleansers and being a few pennies short?

FWIW, for the C&C deal I bought 2 of the daily cleansers (4.99 ea.) and one astringent (5.49) Im not willing to go to the bother of hoping it'll work for me to try to go under the radar. YMMV... |

I bought the 3 clean & clear @ 4.99 (14.97) before and got 5 ECBs no problem...I'm not sure if this is the case still. I am also sure the trial size isn't in the deal but if you have a nice cashier it shouldn't be a problem.

I'm sure the trial size doesn't count for this deal bc the other day I bought a few as filler items using manuQs, and this deal didn't show up in the tally at the end of my receipt. All these x.x9 sale prices are driving me crazy! why can't they just roung it up, easier for the customers and certainly easier for the cashiers! This may be OT, but I had so many cashiers having problems with their math: cashier #1 couldn't figure out the amount for 90% off a $8.99 product. After I explained the calculation and gave him the answer, he still put in 80 cents for it. Sigh. cashier #2 (actually a shift manager) thought 90% off a $5.99 item is 99 cents! Shocking! I let it go bc I didn't feel like embarrassing him in front of his cashier who asked for his help ringing up my clearanced stuff. cashier #3 was trying to print ECB for me for using RCs, and she thought $1.99 + $1.99 = $5 (!) so I told her it's only $3.98 and she asked me to give her back $1.02 (yikes!) cashier #4 couldn't figure out how much is 5 x $.99 and had to run off to fetch a calculator so I couldn't help but told her it's $4.95 but she wouldn't believe me.... ok, I'd better stop now or I can go on forever.... sorry about the rant. |
