| Raincheck question
When issuing a raincheck on a sale that is buy 2 of something, get X ecb how should it be wrote in the quantity? For example the glade sense and spray from a couple weeks ago, was 2/$10, and $3 ECB, and the lady wrote that, and in Quantity wrote 3, b/c that was the limit. Went to another CVS today and she told me that the quantity meant I could only get 3 of the glade sense and sprays not the 3 of the $3 ECB. I've never had someone tell me this. It really doesn't make sense, b/c I believe the sale was when you bought $10 worth you got the the $3, so technically you don't know howmany items you will buy to get that amount. So what's the correct way for it to be wrote, so I know to make sure it's being done correctly, and I don't lose out on some of my rainchecks.

My stores right it the same way yours did. But what i do is save the ad. I cut outthe part of the ad that is pertaining to that deal and i keep them together. Then when i go to use my raincheck if they give me a fuss about it i just pull out the ad and show it to them. This has worked for me. It may be a ymmv wether or not it will work for everyone. They seem to "understand" more if they still have the ad to look at. HTH

You can make sure that they write the raincheck correctly by putting in the quantity blank "3 deals" or whatever the limit for the "deals" is for the particular item. And then make sure that you cut out the part of the ad that pertains to that deal so you can take it along with you when you redeem your raincheck. In your example, if the deal was Buy $10 get $3 ECB and the Sense and Spray was 2 for $10. Your raincheck would have the price for the Sense and Spray at 2/$10 with the $3 ECB event code written out. The quantity would have 3 deals -- meaning that you could do the deal 3 times (6 Sense and Spray) |

Thanks, I almost always have the ad clipping saved, but the lady still didn't care, she said she knew what it meant, but that's not how it was written out. Which makes no sense, b/c if she knew then why was she giving me such a fuss. But when another cashier had the same problem, she made sure to rewrite my raincheck saying "2 items".
