My son will be getting a prescription soon and I'd love to take it to CVS and get a free gift card or something like that but I'm new to this whole thing and I'm wondering where you all find the prescription coupons that offer these deals? Any help will be much appreciated! *deb* |

The Target ad will sometimes have a $10 GC with new or transferred prescription. My CVS pharmacy will accept competitor's coupons so I can use that one (It's a nice one because it specifically includes "new" prescription unlike some of the Rite Aid printable coupons that have just "transferred" in the wording. Other than that, Google is your friend for competitor printables. |

I've gotten them from the red coupon machine at the CVS or CVS has sent the coupons via snail mail. I have also used competitor's coupons. The Rite Aid printables do say transfer but when I called my CVS they said they would honor it for a new prescription anyway. So maybe call your store and check if you want to use the Rite Aid printable. |

I get mine from the weekly ads. I save all of them from: Safeway, Target, Walgreens and CVS. I used a $25 one last night from WG at Fry's. It was for a new RX. It sure helps with our budget!! Especially since DH just got a $400 per month pay CUT beginning next PD.

My CVS accepts coupons from other stores--Rite Aid has a $25.00 coupon for new/transferred prescriptions valid until 9/30. I'm going to use one today. Hope you can too! http://www.riteaid.com/www.riteaid.c...upon093009.pdf |

My CVS takes competitor's prescription coupons and so I look for those. Our local grocery store Rainbow Foods has a $10 coupon in their ad about every other week. Also, I get a million free magazine and have been finding coupons attached by a flap to the back of the cover page for $10 Target prescription new or transfered. I don't remember all the mags this coupon is on but I found one in Parenting Sept 09. They are good through November 09.

See my earlier post about Rite aid prescription coupon--I tried today with a new prescription for my daughter and it worked. The cashier had to enter a code with what store the coupon came from and she had a code right there for Rite aid--no questions asked. I paid my 5.00 for the prescription and got my $25.00 gift card. The link to that coupon is above. It was a great deal! |

You can go to Rite Aid's website and print a coupon for a gift card with a transferred prescription but I don't know if they do new ones.

Just go to the cvs pharmacy counter and ask if they have any offer for a new prescription, last time I did the pharmacist told me yes, as long as there is a refill on the prescription, no coupon needed, they gave me a $25.00 gift card. It is worth to try.

I went in to CVS today with a Rite Aid coupon for a transferred prescription and they did not accept it, because they were not sure they were accepting competitor's coupons any more. They said that they had done away with it a while ago. The manager said she'd call me if she found out differently. I lost out on a $25 GC |
