There is a coupon in the Sunday paper if you buy refill you will get $3 off base. CVS has if you buy base get refill .99 My question is can I use the $3 off coupon and then a $1 off refill coupon?

Ok I did this tonight. I used the 3/1 and the 1/1 refill along with the 2/1 cvs coupons and went through fine. No beeps at all. i had a very good hall at cvs tonight.

1 base $7.99
1 refill .99

Total= $8.98

Minus
$3 off base wyb refill
$1 off refill
2- $2/1 cvs q's?

Total= -.02 (making it free after q's?)

Or can you only use 1 of the $2/1 CVS q's? The CVS q's came from the RIB right?

I'm pretty sure you can only use one of the RIB coupons since it's a CVS coupon. Every time I have tried to use more than one in a transaction the register beeps. The RIB coupon does say limit one coupon per customer on it.

I was wondering how you would use the get a free base WYB any pump peelie with this deal. Anyone have a scenario for the best deal using that coupon and/or combination of the others?

It depends on your store. Most of my stores around me don't sell them. They are normally located by the front of the store or somewhere in the beauty section and the cost 99 cents!

You want to use a second coupon that's $1.00 off any replacement base.

You would be using 2 manufacturer's coupons on the same item and that's not allowed.


You could use a CVS coupon (barcode beginning with a 4) from the RIB along with the manufacturer's coupon.

Hey Everyone!

I did this deal this morning ... bought a pump and a base, used the $3 coupon and tried to use two of the $2 CVS RIB coupons. I didn't read the wording on the coupon that it is 1 per person/transaction. The computer beeped and it would only let him use one of the $2 RIB coupons. Hope that helps!

i used the $3/1 and the free peelie for the base and paid $4.99 for both...there is also a mail in rebate if you both both ($4 rebate). HTH

I can tell you where one of the coupons for the $1.00 off base coupon came from. It's from the June 16, 2009 Woman's Day magazine.

The wording on the coupon states:

"Save $1.00 on any Softsoap Ensembles 8.3 oz Liquid Hand Soap" (exp 9/1/09) and shows a picture of the pump or the refill.


(I know that's not the CVS coupon you asked about but since it is a coupon for the base and not the refill, you could use that along with the $3 off the refill wyb the base" manufacturer's coupon along with the $2 RIB CVS coupon.)

True. Also in the first scenario you would be using 4 q's and purchasing only 2 items which would also incur the wrath of "register logic" . Meaning you would need two filler items to account for the 4 q's.

But two of those q's would be CVS q's so "technically" the register logic would accept it -- The register logic accepts one manufacturer's coupon and one CVS coupon per item...

However, that's apples and oranges since the two manufacturer's coupons in that scenario were for the same item and the two RIB had the same bar code so they'd beep (only one could be used per transaction...)

That scenario was doomed before the electrons dried.

Some stores have the RIB coupon inserts free for customers -- no Reinventing Beauty Magazine purchase required. They'll stack the inserts on counters near the beauty counter or near the registers.

I tried to do this deal yesterday with the $2 RIB Q, a $2 manu Q and a free refill peelie. Register would not take it... Cashier said i couldnt use 3 coupons for 2 products (whaaaat?) ... I have to take another CLOSER look at those coupons because perhaps the $2 MQ was for the refill only? Thats the only way it makes any sense to me (Oh, and i had the $4 MIR form to make it freeeeeeee) ... I looked like a pain in the a$$ customer, but i decided to cancel the transaction (i explained they were donation items and it wasnt working out the way i planned and would be costing too much ..She said she understood, but i am sure she was firing daggers at me when i walked out the door LOL)

Went back today with $2 RIB Q, and a $3 MQ. Didnt want to push my luck, so i didnt even attempt to use the "free refill" peelies Oh well, still free with MIR

Oh and i still have 7 sets of the MIR forms / $2 RIB Qs if anyone needs them...
