I was reading this article, and since the amt of the coupon doesn't come off at the register.....I'm wondering if this would in fact defeat our purpose? I think it may limit me to where I can use my "coupon savings"......

What does everyone think about this?

This is additional savings on top of any paper coupon you might use. Assuming your purpose is saving money, how would this defeat your purpose?

I didn't realize that you could use this in ADDITION to regular coupons (and doubling) in a store. If this is the case, it is great. Do you use this service?

Take the Johnsonville sausage for example. It's $1 when you buy 2 that you "save" Well, I had 2 $1/1 coupons printed and bought them for the tortellini last night. Since I had selected it, in about 30 days $1 will be added to my account. So far I have had about $18 saved and put into paypal. My paper coupons have worked great with them, and I still get the credit for the items purchased.

Yes, I do use SavingStar. I've earned over $10 in Amazon GC's which I used to buy a Kindle book. There is no fee for this program. You just need to register and choose your stores (will need to link your store loyalty cards) and coupons.

it is free to use savingstar, but it can take a while for the credit to show up - but I have gotten $5 for paypal from using the service!
