I don't think we'll ever see Buy $20 get $10 catalina offers anymore. Oh, man those were FUN!! I remember double and triple dipping. They are doing more of the buy 10 save $0.50 on each item and for the most part I have been able to find some decent deals with those.

I was thinking the same thing! Where IS everyone finding deals these days? I have to drive a little for Rainbow and Aldi, so I depended on Cub a lot.

I drive to Rainbow an hour round trip, usually doing at LEAST 4 transactions each time I am there!! but SOOOOO worth it!!

I agree! I miss the catalinas like crazy... It's hardly any fun to grocery shop. I think the buy 10, save $5 aren't a horrible deal, but the never seem to be stuff I use or have coupons on to use for stocking up.

Unfortunately I was disheartened when Cub got a new manager at the Elk River store. I just lost all of my spirit to go there so I guess I am one of the reasons they are losing market share because I go to Target now. I do agree with all of you though, I miss the great sales and still read the ad every week and price match what I really deem a good price at Target if I can.

This week I price matched the Mission Tortilla Shells!!! What a great deal they are!!!

I didn't even know Elk River got a new manager.... I was there a couple days ago, and noticed LOTS of manager specials throughout the store marked with little green shelf tags that said manager special. Some good deals, i agree the ads are pretty stinky. Did you have a problem at all with new management? I rarely go there anymore either. I really split my shopping up now, and go where the deals are, Thankfully we have Coborn's, Walmart, Super target and Aldi's all within 5 miles, just requires more planning and driving. Don't forget if you have the q's that Ronzoni Garden Delight is free this week with the 1/1 blinkie, or the 1/1 from 1/23 SS, if you have these q's.

They are listed 10 for $10, but we all know you can just buy whatever you want for $1 each. Target is price matching them and the regular price on them at Target is $2.12 and they are $1 each at Cub this week. My son plows thru these about 3 packages a week so at more th an 50% off of Target's price I am stocking up!!!

They got a new manager about 2 years ago and he mentioned how coupons weren't the way to go. He believe if the prices were right we didn't need coupons. When he said that I knew he wasn't going to be fun to work with. His assistant managers (Ben) they are very helpful, but the head guy is not.

What does anyone think about the chances of the 5/50 that was for Riverdale or Minnetonka being used at another Cub? Anyone tried it? The front does not have any store restrictions.....

was it an in-store coupon? Where did it come from?

IME, living closer to the Duluth Cub that the cities, I've been able to use ISC that were printing for, say specifically Forest Lake, at the Duluth Cub no problem. Does it say on the coupon for those locations only? If that's the case, then I would assume YMMV.

Did anyone see the Shaws forom, I didn't get a chance to fully read it, but it looks like they have a 10 oyno when you spend 2 on certain products that started today. I will check it out. So maybe that will aply to cub next week.

Just a heads up, at the Elk river store, they have Crystal Farms European style butter 2 pack = 1/2 lb. for .79, that makes it $1.58 a lb. That is a stock up price for me, and we all know you can freeze butter!

I wish I knew more things that were okay to freeze. I need to figure this out. Coffee creamer? Cheese? Yogurt? Pillsbury crescents or grands? What do you all freeze? I have extra freezer room but my fridge is bulging (mostly from the 30 containers of coffee creamer and lots of yogurt and cheese).

I freeze milk (after a half cup is taken out), cheese (all kinds), and Pillbsury rolls, but only after I make them. The cans can't go in (one exploded), but once you make them, you can freeze for up to six weeks without any taste issues, at least that I have found. I haven't tried creamer; that might work too as long as there is some room for expansion on top.

I freeez coffee creamers all the time and never had any problems also freeze cheese.

I freeze flour tortilla shells all the time...no problem. Cub had that $1 sale on them last week so I stocked up and purchased 20 of them as my teenage sons love to use them to make cheese roll ups.
